You guys seem to forget how huge a following Bernie had, and he was to the left of Warren. Not that all his supporters will go to her (if he doesn't run again), but I wouldn't write her off so quickly. If the last Dem primary hadn't been totally rigged, Sanders would have had a pretty good shot at the nomination. I think the DNC has totally reformed itself (not less crazy, but slightly less corrupt). So, if they play fair with their candidates in 2020, Warren has a shot. | |||

If that's true, then she'll be committing the classic mistake of trying to win the present war by doing a perfect job of fighting the last war. Bernie's biggest edge wasn't the pinkies in the crowd, it was that Hill was such a dowdy - and obvious - old sleazebag. Then again, Kamala Harris, Corey Booker and Beto O'Rourke all seem to think they can win both the nomination and the Presidency by simply adopting the Obama playbook. | |||

When I watch all the videos of and read all the spewage from NON-rational voters out there, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride won't begin to contain the lunacy to be unleashed to 2020. I have a hard time ruling anyone out of the Democrats' coming freak show. "The less mainstream, the better" should be their group slogan. Maybe Jesse will come off the sidelines and offer boa accessories to coax some of them Green. At this point, it just seems like anything is possible. If betting, my money would be there at this point. A good sophist, that one. Harris comes off as an angry, black, woman, conjuring, opportunist. I'm not so sure that her identity politics approach is going to carry the day this time around. Too many people will know that she is against them because of their own immutable characteristics. 1) The republicans need to take 5% of their opposition research money and buy as many DVR's as it takes to record every single word the dim candidates hurl at each other. It will be brutal and accurate. They won't need to do any research. 2) If I were the dim nominee I wouldn't spend a dime or 5 minutes in NY, IL, CA, or any of the other traditional strongholds. I would blanket the fly over country with as much money as they can steal from the unions and actors. They are going to take those states anyway... But, I'm overjoyed at the pending circus show.
