I will take the three unbeaten's and TX. Even though K. St. should of beat TX. Probably be Al. But Oh. State and Ga. could be as well.

Fwiw, I could not find the college football thread, doh.

Enjoy your day.

Interesting situation in BCS now, GA has been the sole #1 team all year, but, with losing a game, and the SEC championship they may well be out of the playoffs.

MI and WA should be in, FSU has all the qualifications, no unbeaten power 5 team that won the conference championship has been left out of the BCS playoff.

Question is, will it be AL or TX and TX holds the win over AL...
FSU

I was pulling for Iowa and Louisville, not because of any like or dislike, but just to see the train wreck....

My picks for this year are: Michigan, Washington, Texas, Florida State

UofM, UofW, and FSU are all undefeated power 5 teams who won their championship so they get in. Alabama lost to Texas so I give Texas the 1-loss tie breakers. I was hanging out with several Texas fans last night who would of course love Texas to get in, but expect to get the shaft (i.e. Alabama gets in).

Personally, I believe that you should be playing in your conference's championship to get in (i.e. tough shit to Ohio State and independents). It won't matter as much next year with the 12-team format.

Oh. St. can make a claim just like the other three.

TX and AL won their conference championships, Ohio State didn't qualify to play in that game and that's a big negative for them.

For the Texas or Alabama slot ... I think Alabama deserves it.

Everyone quickly points out Texas beat Alabama. Yes indeed true, but the thing is, both are a one loss team. Texas lost to #12 Oklahoma ... at home.

So how do they match up in wins against top 25 opponents?

Texas also beat Kansas and Kansas St from the top 25.
Alabama beat Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU and Georgia from the top 25.

... so Alabama rather than Texas in the playoff if it's between those two.

When they expand to 12-team playoff next season, problem will go away. Maybe. Because someone will still complain. Lol.

Just for nostalgia's sake, I would've loved to have seen Washington vs. Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Pac-12 vs. Big-10 in the last year of the Pac-12.

No dog in the fight but find it hard to see FSU left out. A bit of an injustice but the whole system is a corrupt joke imho.

Michigan’s reaction to learning they have to play Bama instead of FSU made it all worth it! LOL

That FSU Louisville game was brutal to watch. Even the announcers were struggling to stay engaged. At halftime, 3 points had been scored.
In a power 5 conference championship. Either Mike Norvell is just not very animated, or he knew that performance wasn't gonna get them in over Alabama or Texas. The best 4 are in.

Remember Al. should have lost the iron bowl so to say they should get in over FSU is a bit of a stretch imho.

I’m a Florida State fan. While I’m disappointed they didn’t get it I understand why. They’re just not the same team without their top 2 QBs. If you look at it as wanting the top 4 teams in there I think they got it right.

Despite winning the conference, FSU's offense stagnated once Travis was injured, the flip-side is their defense really stepped-up. The ACC championship game was not very good which didn't help.

I think the committee got this one right, the level of competition between the conferences isn't even the same. The ACC isn't as strong this year as in the past and the Pac12 is much stronger than in past seasons. This is also an odd season with Liberty, James Madison and Tulane finishing in the top-25. Next year the 8-team format debuts, which should help balance things out.

Hope the other games bear out a GA vs FSU bowl game and a OR vs OSU game, both should be quite entertiaining.
