So sorry for the loss of your companion.
I dread the day myself...

Rick, you DID lose your best friend. I cry like a baby when their time comes, it breaks my fucking heart. I know how you're feeling. God has a plan for creatures too...

Damn, so sorry to hear this.
I’ve been through it so many times and it’s never easy. It’s the worst part of having a dog.

My sincere condolences on losing your dog. No matter how long we have them in our lives, it isn’t long enough.

Dogs make us better humans. I don’t know if it works the other way around, but they still love us. Thank god.

15 years is a long time and she lived each day of it for you. Sorry for your loss.

It's tough having to face that eventuality. My mini poodles have been with us for their 9 years

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
