Making things, fixing stuff, processing firewood, fixing/accessorizing (practical) vehicles, using chainsaw, lawn tractor, outdoor tools for home and lawn, fixing/updating house stuff, building outdoor structures, demolition, and learning about those kinds of things to name a few. Nothing like doing stuff with your hands after a long week at the office where you don't get to use your hands or body in any possible way except to walk to the john and press a different flavor button on the coffee machine. Sitting on your ass for years gets to you when you come from a long line of men who do that, so your true nature must come out as a matter of mental and physical health. People are born with an affinity for doing certain things, and it must not be denied if at all possible. I suppose if you were a renaissance man things might be easier, but I think most people are like the former.

I have too many but I enjoy woodworking, using my Southbend lathe to make stuff and scale modeling.

Reading
Keeping myself in shape/exercising (bike/treadmill/rowing machine)
Playing with older cars (currently have an Alfa Spider)
Recently gave up and sold last motorcycle (too hot, busy crazy down here to ride) - might take it up again once I retire and move out of here.
Just tinkering in the garage with anything mechanical (best stress reliver for me)
My 2nd favorite hobby after playing with the car is sailing. Don't have a boat right now but will get back into it eventually.

When I was a young man, I was spending my money on audio equipment when everyone else was buying their first car! Never lost my interest in music and music reproduction. Even did a stint as an equipment reviewer.
Own two guitars, one acoustic, one electric. Since retiring I really been applying myself at improving my skill set.
Photography. Once the kids grew up and moved away, (no more sports photos) I’ve been using the long lenses for birding, which is turning into another hobby in its own right.
Starting last fall, I’ve taken to helping out the local feral colony. That’s evolving too.

I think my main hobby is Tools.

I use woodworking and projects around the house as an excuse to go buy tools. I can spend hours going to different Home depot and lowes looking for cool new tools and tool bargains. I go to flea market looking for tools that I can restore. I just really like having the right tool for the job. It is probably more of an obsession then a hobby at this point. I should have never quit being a carpenter when I was in college. The lure of higher income in IT was too strong. In retrospect, I would have been much happier throughout my life building shit with my tools.

I also like to play pool and PC games but those seem to go in cycles.

It's a lot of fun, unless:

Your tools aren't up to the task
You fail to wear good protective clothing and gear
If something was constructed in a way that doesn't lend itself to being disassembled

One of my late Uncles told me if the hammer doesn't work, bet a bigger hammer. He was a precision machinist in the Physics Department at Cornell University. There's got to be something to that though I haven't quite figured it out, since sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Ha !

I'm just now finishing up replacing 750 ft of custom architectural hand built wood fence, which I demolished by hand and hauled to the dump in sections, including pulling up or cutting off 96 4x4 timbers all bedded in cement. I learned a few things about demolition, including the above points aforementioned. For the latter I recommend the largest and best quality I-beam farm jack you can afford. But then I ran into some that still wouldn't come out. BTW something I learned about HD farm jacks: don't put a cheater bar on the jack handle. Those were interesting cases.
