People have been touting one or another form of chelation for decades. The theory is that because calcium is found in atherosclerotic plaque, removing the calcium will open up the arteries and prevent heart attacks.
There is zero evidence to support this theory, which is a simplistic and wrong concept of how atherosclerosis works.
