Peace through superior firepower |
Can anyone recommend a high quality garden hose, 50 feet? And a nozzle that lasts more than a couple of seasons without leaking or breaking? Made in the USA would be great. Everything is freakin' made in China and I'm sick of it. Thanks.

For a hose, I've had really good luck with Flexzilla hoses. They aren't made in the USA - made in Taiwan. LINK 'veritas non verba magistri'

I like these Dramm made in usa brass nozzles. https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod..._title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also use Dramm quick disconnects and ball valves: https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod..._title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/Dramm-1...7?pd_rd_i=B000HHQAQY I think I'm using this hose from Conti (made in usa). If this is the one (not completely sure), then it's been a great hose so far. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Co...e-20258074/100676339 "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." Whatever you do, avoid the temptation to buy those fabric collapsible "Pocket" hoses. I can't get them to last more than 2 years and my last one just had a blowout and I'm done. Nice concept but they just do not hold up.

I highly recommend staying well clear of the garden hose with the lawn mower, edger, and weed whacker!

Goodyear (now Continental) used to make the Craftsman hoses. You can still buy them from Amazon and other sources. We have some of the black rubber ones that have held up for 25 years. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Eley garden hoses are very good, but they're not cheap. They're worth it to me. As for nozzles, it partly depends on what type you want - fire fighter type or lever type. "If Gun Control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome" - Cam Edwards

I've had good luck with Gilmour Flexogen hoses and Bon Aire Ultimate Fire Hose nozzles. Like guns, Love Sigs

Partial dichotomy |
This is what I always recommend, an all rubber hose, mine are made by Continental. Attached to one I do have one of those expandable cloth type hoses that is pretty convenient for added distance, but I don't know how long it will last. A big plus of those is they are extremely light weight and store easily. And they're pretty cheap to replace.

Eley hose, reel and nozzle. As said, not inexpensive but they've been very good for me.

I love my Eley hose also. It's really lightweight and durable. Their nozzle is okay but not as much pressure if I'd like. It's also very expensive. I would add, if you have a brass spigot you are connecting to, make sure any hose you get also has brass connector. I had a cheaper hose and it fused onto my Eley hose reel connector. The Eley was brass, the hose end was some other metal and painted to look like brass. https://www.eleyhosereels.com/...ections/garden-hoses These go to eleven.

Not made in the States, but I have always loved my GARDENA products. Pretty sure they are all still German made but some of it might be outsourced. I always liked the connectors and durability. Amazon carries their products. Gardena Link
