My wife is expecting a USPS delivery. Tracking says it was delivered last Tuesday. Not in the box & not dropped at the door. Ring doorbell shows no related activity. Not the delivery nor a theft. I just plain hasn't been delivered. Friggin' liars...

I keep checking the news to see if there was a fire at the Atlanta (30354) Post Office.
I have four packages that have been there for five days. Confused

I currently have 3 packages in route to me from different parts of the U.S. and the current status of all 3 packages is, "In Transit, Arriving Late". One package had previously had tracking for estimated delivery today and the other two packages have noted "In Transit, Arriving Late" from the get go. Apparently whatever is going on with USPS is going on all over.

If using USPS for Christmas packages (which the 3 I have in route, are not), better get them in the mail soon I guess.

EDIT: That said, one Amazon package was delivered by USPS this morning at 8 A.M. and on time (Amazon Prime). In fact, early, since mail doesn't usually run here until mid to late afternoon ... which it will again this afternoon for letter mail. None of the 3 packages I have "In Transit, Arriving Late" are Amazon packages.

3 choices (combos OK too):

  • A liberal application of lube. You're fucked as it's an unaccountable unionized government entity.
  • Take your motion sickness medicine because you're in for a roller coaster. I had a package that made it from China to San Fran to Houston processing (~10 miles from my house) in 4 days. Then, the roller coaster began and each step below is 1 to 2 days. Houston --> dyslexic version of my zip code which is about 90 miles away --> Houston --> correct zip code post office --> Houston --> correct zip code post office --> Houston --> Chicago --> China.

  • It got to be a pretty "interesting" thing a few years ago, when a priority package coming to me by USPS spent 10 days bouncing back and forth between the same 2 postal facilities.

And it appears things have deteriorated to the point even worse now. This nonsense is what happens when any collection of employees are not held accountable for their performance (or lack of). And their union protects them.

And we see more examples right now in the election debacle. What role has the USPS played in that MCF?

Welcome to the reality of increasing socialism, which could boom in the US next month.
