Back, and to the left |
So sorry and sad to hear this. I was thinking that things were going pretty well considering the initial predicament. The Lord knows you tried and did your best. There is no telling what he was wrestling with inside. The depths of despair indeed. As drill sgt. said, and we all know, it will take time. Reminding people of this never helps in the immediate, but I am convinced it helps down the line somewhere. Steve, your son, you and your family are in my prayers. God bless you all. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11

Yes, things appeared to be going extremely well. We finally had his I.D. all re-established. He was making plans for the near future. He had ordered things that weren't yet delivered. Just so devastating that there were no red flags and no opportunity to try to help him slay his demons. Maybe, after he is interred at Jefferson Barracks with other veterans, healing can begin.
