Side effects this time have been very mild. Don't know why, but not complaining. The big question is whether it's working. The next CT should be interesting.

I’ve had three Reclast infusions to increase bone density. The first one sent me to the emergency room with severe chills. The second left me feeling ill for a couple of days. The third didn’t bother me at all. I have one or two more to go.
Serious about crackers.

I hope your feeling better. I would say it's more important now than ever to put your faith in Jesus for eternal salvation and peace. He has helped me more times than not and knowing I will be with Him is the best thing I could ever ask for.
Was thinking about you yesterday while I was on the radiation rack. Actually, I was thinking that if this doesn't do it, chemo's next, and then you popped into my head. How are you feeling?

Immune system still down, but infusion #7 is on for today. Feeling ok (relatively speaking).
I'll be doing chemo through December (original plan was to do just eight).
ETA: Got within a few blocks of the infusion center when I get the cancellation call. Platelets still too low, rescheduled for next week. 50 minute drive back home. I guess the center has a new scheduling system they're still working out the bugs on.This message has been edited. Last edited by: kkina,

You, Sir, are taking this much better than I would have.

How about a quick update: Just completed my 8th chemo session. My oncologist really dialed back on some of the harsher chemo drugs, and the discomfort and pain this time was much improved (though still bad; hey, it's chemotherapy).
I was supposed to have another CT scan this week to measure progress, but the wonderful insurance company was late (again) with an authorization, so had to reschedule a couple weeks from now.
As you might recall, CT after my 3rd infusion showed the cancer had stopped growing, but had not shrunk at all. That didn't concern me overly much after only 3 sessions. However, after 8 sessions, it would be very encouraging to see at least some of the tumors backing off.
So will be continuing with chemo at least through the end of the year, which isn't too far away at this point. Beyond that, hard to say.
Finally got the results of my last CT scan. No further tumor growth means I'm *probably* cancer-free. Will need to continue chemo at least through January to be sure.
