If/when these things fail, do they hit ground with severe casualties or do they burn up in atmosphere? It’s a lot to come raining down.
I’m reminded of Dead Like Me.
ETA: how do I see them?

I'm not particularly fond of Elon Musk and this is just another reason to distrust this slimeball. After he gets his 42,000 satellite constellation up his next step may be to announce that he is going to charge a toll for any space vehicle passing thru his belt of satellites.
I've stopped counting.

I saw them about two weeks ago moving west to east about 45 minutes to an hour after sunset.

The string of 50 or 60 from the launch a few days ago appeared in the sky last night at 10:08 PM. From my location they all appeared to pass between the crescent Moon and Venus. Pretty show!
