I remained closed to the telephone all night just in case the Governor or President might call with a last minute pardon, commutation, or stay of execution. The appointed hour arrived with no calls received, thus the condemned was placed into a roasting pan, then into an oven with the power turned on. There will be a private family ceremony later in the day, after which I plan a little RIP on the couch while dozens of young men demonstrate their athletic talents on a football field. Enjoy! Obviously there was no pardon then. Did the condemned have any last words or wishes? Happy Thanksgiving all! | |||
