At no point in your lifetime will you see a major U.S. network lose their broadcast license. It's simply not going to happen.

This statement from the CBS News talking head comes as a result of the installation of Bari Weiss as the editor-in-chief of CBS News, and is not the result of any fear of broadcast license revocation.

It reads like they think they have been reporting for the smart people and they are now going to report to the hillbilly’s.

Agreed. It took them a long time to get here. They have decades to make up for.

I think they need new people. These existing ones are going to placate at best. They will never be able to 'change their spots'.

I have no plans to start viewing any of their latest garbage.

Without a doubt, there will be a shift in how CBS news reporting is done moving forward. Bari Weiss was brought in to do just that and from what I have learned about her, she is very capable. How, and how much it changes remains to be seen.

Bari Weiss is not far right or MAGA so don’t expect CBS news to become conservatively biased, but she is a journalist at her core so maybe there may be a move towards "truth in reporting".

Its one of those situations where i want to believe, but i'm not holding my breath.

The way to root out the Commies at CBS is for Bari to hire a Youtuber like Nick Shirley; not necessarily him, but someone along those lines. Pay him/her a good consulting fee and order all CBS employees to cooperate or be fired. Then have that consultant interview whomever necessary to find out what stories they have uncovered but ignored and what big stories others uncovered and CBS should have. Find out what's causing that and root it out.

It is so inexcusable that 60 Minutes did not uncover the MN childcare center fraud before a Youtuber did. Someone there needs to answer for this.

No one is watching their bullshit anyway

Who here watches nightly network news anymore? I’ve probably not in 15-20 years now.

They’re a dinosaur in this day and age and no amount of fake platitudes will save them.
