If morons like this dude ever figure out not to carry their cell phones when they do stuff, it will set back law enforcement 50 years.

If that's how they caught him, there is absolutely no excuse for it having taken more than a few days.

I doubt “that's how they caught him.” It was just another bit of evidence among other bits.

Very few people are smart enough or have enough knowledge to utilize components that cannot be traced easily. Ted Kaczynski was one of the rare exceptions I recall.

The components can be obtained in most hardware stores. Black powder is sold in Walmart. And the pipe? Anywhere.

Your assertion sounds solid and is probably what most people think. It is incorrect though, almost any component of a bomb can be traced and it has been that way for decades.

Sounds like upon Patel and Bonginnio taking charge of the bureau, they told the investigators to re-start the investigation from the beginning and flesh-out those leads and possibilities as no new witnesses or, statements have come to light but, re-exammining what they had. At the very least, Christopher Wray & Co knew who this was but either choose not to pursue him given he didn't fit the narrative, the investigators got over-ruled and this lead was minimized & buried or, just poor tradecraft.

So if per Bondi, there were no new tips given to the FBI and they just went through existing evidence they had for 4 years to find this guy, Then Wray and team need to be seriously interrogated. This is malfeasances and incompetence of the highest order. Find the emails saying to squash the investigation.

Yes, exactly!

“I don't know what they were doing.”

Lol. I know what they were doing: they were going after their political opponents. The FBI was after Trump and everyone who supported him.

FBI Pipe Bomber Breakthrough Exposes Biden Era Failures After Four Years

More than four years after pipe bombs appeared outside the RNC and DNC headquarters on January 5, 2021, and less than a month after The Blaze fingered a former Capitol Police officer in a now-retracted report (that their sources still stand by), the Trump administration announced the arrest of Brian Cole Jr., 30, of Woodbridge, Virginia, on Thursday. Cole has been charged under 18 U.S.C. § 844 for deploying an explosive device.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Wasn’t there a thread here tying the J6 bomber to a female Capitol cop who’s now in the CIA?

Yup, it was earlier in this thread iirc. I would be really interested in what those researchers think about how their analysis fits this guy. I don't doubt their original work was honest even though the conclusion was apparently wrong. Does this suspect currently walk in a way consistent with their analysis?

I was thinking about how they earlier picked the female due to the walk analysis. Unless my memory is really bad (well, actually it is..) I think it is rare to have a female bomb maker, most are males. Females may use bombs but they are usually made by males.

Oopsie! Somebody failed to preserve crucial January 6th video records.

J6 Chair Makes Jaw-Dropping Claim: Pipe Bomb Videos Outside RNC and DNC Deleted—‘Doesn’t Exist’

"Barry Loudermilk, Chairman of the new House Republican-led Select Subcommittee on January 6, claims that key surveillance footage showing areas near the RNC and DNC where pipe bombs were placed the prior evening was not preserved.

Republican Rep. Loudermilk (GA-11) made the jaw-dropping accusation in a recent interview.

"There's still so many questions regarding this, because one of the things that has raised our eyebrows is as we go and we look for video on January 6th, because we want early morning video on January 6th to see, did anybody go back to these locations?" he said.

"Unfortunately, that video apparently doesn't exist anymore," he stated. "We do have the January 5th video, but we've been told that no one ever preserved January 6th."

"So that does raise our eyebrows a bit.""
