At first glance, I thought that you wrote "Inbred idiocy."
Sorry. I meant to type "Unbridled". Fixed it.

There are also signs that say "my governor is a moron" far more of them than the other. Hopefully all this will be remembered at election time! One more thing to think about, many people thought she won because the recreational pot bill was on the ballot. It won't be next time.

If a few families of people who died of COVID in nursing homes due to Whitmer/s decisions were to file negligent homicide charges against her, she'd be in real trouble.

My mother did not, however it certainly would be a strong case against the monster.

This was intentional homicide.

This is likely a purely symbolic move...but Wretched Witchmer can suck on it!!

"The state Senate's 20-15 vote along partisan lines came two days after the Board of State Canvassers certified Unlock Michigan's petition drive to repeal the 1945 law that the Wicked Witch of the North used to maintain a state of emergency and lockdown past 28 days without the Legislature's input. The petition received about 460,000 valid signatures, which was far more than the approximately 340,000 that were needed."

Hopefully the MI House also approves and it passes. Cant be vetoed...

On the 28 February 1933, President Hindenburg signed the Emergency Decree for the Protection of the German People. This decree suspended the democratic aspects of the Weimar Republic and declared a state of emergency.

This decree gave the Nazis a legal basis for the persecution and oppression of any opponents, who were be framed as traitors to the republic. People could be imprisoned for any or no reason.

The decree also removed basic personal freedoms, such as the freedom of speech, the right to own property, and the right to trial before imprisonment.

Through these aspects the Nazis suppressed any opposition to their power, and were able to start the road from democracy to a dictatorship.

...

On the 23 March 1933, Hitler proposed the Enabling Law to the Reichstag. This new law gave Hitler the power to rule by decree rather than passing laws through the Reichstag and the president. If passed, the law would establish the conditions needed for dictatorial rule.

From Jimbo's link above.

Several Democrats spoke out against repealing the law, saying it would make it harder for future governors to respond to public health crises.

Democrat Sen. Mallory McMorrow said legislatures are deliberate and work slowly, and that the 1945 law allows for quick action in times of urgency.

People en masse had more intelligence throughout history than the general population does now. Only 50+ years ago, I truly believe the government would be in flames if they pulled the same shit that we’re witnessing now.

They did the same thing to Andy Beshear. He filed a lawsuit and claimed that the law endangered lives. A liberal judge sided with him and issued a stay to keep the law from taking effect. Tyrants won’t willing let power go without a fight.

I've seen one or two, here, down-state.

I wonder if there's a "My Governor is a moron" flag? I haven't been able to bring myself to fly the U.S. flag since the election, much less the Michigan State flag, but that I'd raise Smile

The DOJ not investigating something yields the same results as if they were to investigate something which is nothing. At least they may be saving taxpayers a few bucks by just sitting behind their desks with their feet up.

By the way where is that Durham guy with the Wilford Brimley mustache?
