Holy shit, dude. Are you still pulling this shit in other threads now?

Yes.

On another note, apparently having the knife into small business isn't enough for Brown, she has to twist it.

She said she's not asking Oregonians to stop social gathering, she's TELLING them. Using a class C misdemeanor as incentive.

I guess we are all 5 year olds again and mom is reprimanding us Frown

How can that, or this interstate travel ban I heard about (is it to stop people from leaving, coming in or both?) possibly be enforced? Too many roads in and out and not enough cops.

Not sure my friend.

I think all of this does not carry the weight of law. But the state is solid blue.......

I’ve said it for a while, and I’ll say it again. Anyone charged with any offense related to this foolishness should demand a jury trial.

I wouldn’t plea or pay a fine to any of this. Because there’s a really strong chance that despite all the Karen’s you might seat on a jury, you only need one to say no.

I recommend plugging the court system with any COVID related offense.

After that, talk to a GOOD civil attorney!
99.9% of this shit is a clear violation of 1st amendment rights.

Depending on how these are implemented, this would be like demanding a jury trial for a speeding ticket. I've never heard of being able to do that. The tickets are probable classified as some sort of civil infraction that can be tried in front of an administrative law judge or similar. They don't have to offer a jury trial.

If you want to contest that verdict (which will likely always be guilty), you'd probably have to go to a higher level appeals court, and pay a lawyer a substantial amount to file and try the appeal. Unless someone is willing to shell out a lot of money to TOFTT, it isn't really worth it.

Here in Boardman our Police and Sheriff won't enforce the unlawful mandate regarding gathering in private homes.

Hell some of the officers will be having their own gatherings as will my family.

Our Police Chief isn't enforcing any mask mandates or other mandates that are unlawful. I have this in an email from a few months ago as I posed a question to him.

^^^ I have two words for that.

In. Sane.

None of this has anything at all to do with reason or science. The people making these decisions are not adult minded. They are imbeciles to be frank. And moreover, destructive.

Not the same.

A speeding ticket is going to be a violation, unless you were going so fast that you got charged with reckless driving (that wouldn't be a speeding ticket anymore).

A Class C misdemeanor in Oregon is a crime, not a violation. Difference being that you can't got to jail for a violation, but you can go to jail for a crime.

So, yes, if you are charged with a class C, you have a right to a jury trial.

Not that any jury trials are being held right now though Roll Eyes.

Whole west coast is all in.

But the ones that make up this shit are out of touch. People are scared, broke, and pissed.

Get enough to push back, anything could happen.

Problem is they are not on the .gov tit. So most of their time is dedicated to tending to their family.

That is what the left depend on sadly.

Had a younger lady on Friday strike up a conversation while in line at the post office.

If it weren't for my vehicle and company logo attire I could easily be mistaken for a crazed homeless dude. So people usually shy away.

From her description of her job and her attire I would guess left of center. Not sure, just speculation on my part.

Even she was expressing doubt in the governors decisions and expressed some level of fear for her future.

I stayed neutral and just commented that they were trying their hardest to mess up the holidays. She agreed.

The grinch is alive and well my friends.

Is there some statutory authority (other than just emergency powers) that give these ass clowns in Washington and Oregon authority to make up laws? The enacting of laws and statutes is a duty reserved for the legislatures.

IMO, these "new" restrictions are based on the election.

We conservatives tend to follow the law, the left does not.

However...

The left is shaking in their boots over this scamdemic and we are not.

That said, the outcome is in doubt, but rest assured that one side or the other will be disappointed and if it is the left, they will take to the streets like they did Saturday.

Keeping everyone locked down appears to be the go-to response from our betters.

I think it's time we start thinking in different terms about all this. These restrictions in the name of Covid are not being foisted on us by stupid, out of touch, imbeciles who love to push peoples buttons and get hot all over themselves because they wield these powers over people. Well they are but that's not the main impetus behind all this. They are implicit in a much larger agenda. We will never reach the carrot on the stick that's supposedly going to relieve of of these restrictions and get us back to "normal" life. Quite contrary, these restrictions are going to get slowly tightened, the screws turned a little tighter over time because the science tells us and will keep telling this must be done.

I think most of us realize this to one degree or another but we don't we fully realize where this is designed to eventually take us. This article by Conservative Tree House lays it out rather bluntly and leaves you with that hollow feeling. It was shortly after this publication the Tree house was deplatformed.

quote:
The answer is… social changes under the guise of COVID-19 mitigation, are the entry point for the goals and aspirations of the political left on a national and global scale. COVID-19 is a virus, but also a very important political weapon, and we are about to discover exactly what the purpose of the hype is all about. What follows will help understand; and when you encounter the fear it will help to reconcile what people cannot figure out.
