In addition to well wishes, I am grateful for modern medicine. Despite the management of today's medical industry, I'm grateful for the amazing advances in modern medicine.

Much appreciated!
We’ve got legos, puzzles, and his switch so I think we’re covered.
He just finished up some pizza which will be his last meal for like 72 hours.

Praying for your son and the rest of your family, Black. I know you've mentioned this before and have been dealing with it for a while. I've got blood sugar issues of my own, and there have been times on bad days when I get frustrated that I've thought of your situation and reminded myself how much worse this would be if it was one of my kids. I feel for you guys. Prayers for strength for your little guy and for insight for the docs that they can find some answers. Take care of yourself, too...all that driving back and forth and being apart from family is going to make for a tough 10 days. Hopefully this gives them what they need to put together a successful treatment plan!

Get to go home today!!!
They got what they needed. His blood sugar dropped to 41 last night.
He was completely out of it (to be expected for having such critical low blood sugar).

Just waiting for the Doctors to come through to let us know what this means and where we go from here.

He had a nice big breakfast after 60 hours with no food and due to a mix up in his orders the first 36 hours of this last 60 fasting test he was even restricted from having water!
36 hours stuck in a tiny hospital room with zero food or liquid, then the remaining 24 with ice water only.
Tough little guy barely complained about being hungry.

His blood sugars are now in the 200s with glucogone and a bunch of food in his system.

Hopefully we can get on a good track for further care.
Have to come back up Friday for his neurology appointment but that is fine just glad to go home.

Mama has stayed the whole time at the hospital so little sleep. I have bounced between home and here during the day to get our other boys to basketball, soccer, and Mass.
Getting home to our own beds will be nice.

Hopefully this is a large step closer to getting him sorted out.

Wow, that's rough Frown. I'm glad they were able to get the data they needed and that you guys get to go home, though. Will continue to pray for wisdom going forward!

Most of the labs have all come back normal.
Still a few outstanding but at this point I am doubting it will show anything.

All the doctors agree this should not be happening but no one can seem to pinpoint why.

The hospital charges have started rolling in and we have already surpassed $50,000!!!!
I am guessing we’re looking at footing $10,000 maybe more by the time we are done.
Man that stings especially to have no answers.

Dangitall man, I’m really frustrated for you all! Your family will be in our prayers, and I’ll get our kiddos in on it too; they seem to have a direct line to “The Big Guy”! I’m pretty sure He hears and answers their prayers WAY more often than my own!

I'm real sorry to hear the last update. I wish your little man the best, and hope answers come soon. You've got friends here, if it's any help at all.
