Most excellent job, wish more officers troopers did this,

Frankly think the overall speeds driven would reduce since it causes backups and people to run higher speeds once around these entitled drivers.

Saturday driving back on the 417 from the Mecum Auctions we encountered no less than twenty of these idiots, all in the left lane, cruising along, refusing to pass or slow and move over.
They back up traffic massively, not one car but ten, twenty sometimes 30 plus cars backed up, in both lanes trying to get past the idiot in the left lane and the one in the right pacing along with them, if anyone type of driver causes road rage it's the left lane bandit.

There's a special place in hell for the left lane pace cars. I wish they were treated like DUIs. Though I drive in Deputy Frank's area a lot and it's really not that bad there compared to other areas around Phoenix.

I don't mind and even encourage ticketing left lane squatters. But I've seen his other videos and his attitude rubs me the wrong way.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do.

I would rather he write tickets for speeding rather then hassle people doing the speed limit regardless of what lane they are in.

Just had to pass one of them this morning on the right since he refused to move over and it was completely clear.

Then of course he discovers his right foot again and proceeds to zoom up on my rear and try to tailgate me.

I really don't get this mentality. At all.

I wouldn't. The actual flow of traffic is always 20-25% above the posted speed limit and, per state law, AZ is supposed to set speed limits at the 85th percentile of the average speed found in a road study. But they don't. That means most speed limits are artificially low and encourage "speeding." And it doesn't matter how fast you go in the left lane. It's impeding traffic and state law say "slower traffic keep right." Those signs are white, not yellow, meaning they are compulsory and not advisory. Left lane pace cars are the biggest problem here after drunks and wrong-way drivers.

The left lane is for passing. Period.

Isn't the ticket effectively a type of speeding ticket?

Lol, the post seems a little ironic given the cut and the sig line.

Why not 'hassle' people for being inconsiderate and/or unaware?

Glad someone has the balls to hand out tickets for that nonsense. I wish our LEO would enforce this as well as the German’s do. Once you’ve driven there, it’s hard to understand why our roads can’t be the same, especially with our resources. I don’t like revenuers, but this doesn’t even have to be about revenue. A nationwide campaign would put a mighty big dent in the amount of campers

Go, Frank, go!
Want to stay close to, or maintain the posted limit? Great! Just do it in the right hand lane.

I have observed how this works about 1/2 dozen times.

Left lane campers, and ASP either in the "turn around" or setting about midway down an "on ramp" and then the ASP pulls onto the freeway and drives for about a mile and a half. If the "camper" has not pulled back into the right lane about that time, they pull them over.

I stay in the right lane, and if I am passing, I make sure I get back in the right lane, even if it is only for a few seconds if I am passing a long line of trucks, that are not "stacked" like a NASCAR pack on a caution flag.

It's not hard to do.

If you want to camp, find a KOA.

I think his attitude is on the mark....most of the time. But none of us are on our game 100% of the time either.

I drive I-5 in central California. I can't tell you the percentage of drivers I pass on the right because they're camped out in the fast lane. Many self driving Tesla pegged at 78mph and the driver is reading a book! I wish I had an air horn!

It's not an either or situation. Forced passing on the right is fucked up from the get-go. I know it's hard to signal, turn, and stuff but rudimentary driving instruction is easy to find.
