I'm not confused in the least. I understand the money and corruption just fine. It's just that at some point, you need to stand and fight for what you claim you stand for, else people will vote your ass out if all you do is turn and tuck tail. It seems a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy to roll over all the time and then be surprised that you get voted out at some point.

it won't be politicians that stand up and fight

it will be people who have had just about enough and are going to be willing and bale to take the fight to the next level to solve the problem

think about it this way

you cannot solve this problem by voting, because voting is what caused the problem in the first place

Yeah... that's a problem.

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy...”
― Alexander Fraser Tytler

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

If you think it's a "red side v blue side" you're all wrong. It's a "$green$ side v everyone else side".

There are no sides.
There's no Sunnis and Shiites.

There's no Democrats and Republicans.

There's only haves and have-nots.

You might as well be on the side
that gets you well paid for your efforts.

Come on man...really? That’s pretty weak.

Either vote for one man or vote for the other man but don’t vote for either as a fan.
says the fan.

Actually, no. I was admiring those residents from Tuscaloosa County for their ability to rise above their passions and place their love for their favorite football team aside by voting for their rival's former coach as State Senator.

"It says a lot about Alabamians as a whole", I said.

Well, you screwed that platitude up pretty quickly.

Nice job Super Fan!!!

Nice tiger avatar and “1 second” signature, superfan.

I’m voting for tubby because he’s better than the alternative. All I ever said was he wasn’t very smart. He will do fine because he will do what he’s told.

And I’m right there with thinking conservatives. He’s not perfect but he sure beats sleazy Doug Jones.
