Good for Tuberville, good for Alabama, and good for the US.

Indeed. To say the man was a disappointment would be an understatement; he was a pathetic AG. This is an outstanding result in Alabama. People are clearly fed up with weak politicians with no fight in them.

Glad he's out, we need more milquetoast R members to be removed at this time, the D have their crusaders and compatriots pushing hard to socialise the economy, control peoples actions, and flip the USA.

In normal situations people like Sessions were acceptable, today, the climate has changed, it's a war.

One day it may return to a civilized group of men and women discussing reasonable constitutional policies that will benefit America.

Todays just not that day...

Alabama voters dont screw us over again when they play this card. It is coming, Tommy is going to be accused of something, be ready. Dont get principles again and vote against a Republican like yall did with Judge Moore. Because on the day after the election like with Moore the accusations will magically go away.

Dont get played Alabama, vote Tommy I dont care if they say he is an LSU fan, stick with him!!

This is the game of politics not football and the Left will play dirty, you have to see through it, too much at stake with the Senate and confirming conservative Justices. RBG is circling the drain and should come up in the next 4 years!

We need that seat back.

See that's the part I just don't understand. If you're going to be a politician, you're SUPPOSED to fight for your side. Why roll over when the other side attacks you?

When the Dems and the MSM(but I repeat myself) asked Sessions to recuse himself, he should have told them to shove it. I sure didn't see any Dem recusing themselves when the IRS, DOJ, BATFE, etc "investigated" themselves under Barry.

If you think it's a "red side v blue side" you're all wrong. It's a "$green$ side v everyone else side".

ah, I see your confusion

politicians aren't in politics to help the people that vote for them

politicians are in politicians to help themselves

Btw, Sessions claimed he was required to recuse himself from the Russian investigation because he was involved during the Trump campaign. Can someone point to any federal statute that requires him to recuse himself? Or, was he just a dumbass that he let the swamp rats hoodwink him into giving up control? Got to be one or the other.

In fairness to Sessions, he was having his period when he made that decision.

Cynicism and sarcasm noted.
I'm not confused in the least. I understand the money and corruption just fine. It's just that at some point, you need to stand and fight for what you claim you stand for, else people will vote your ass out if all you do is turn and tuck tail. It seems a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy to roll over all the time and then be surprised that you get voted out at some point.

Pretty much this - they hoodwinked him because they said he had talked to the Russian Ambassador during the campaign. Mind you he was still a sitting US Senator, on several powerful committees, and you'd expect such a man to talk with various ambassadors as part of his JOB as such.

They hoodwinked him, plain and simple.

He is a very smart man, and he is also a very honorable man but he allowed himself to be played by dishonorable people.

A lot of Repubs don't realize they are in a street fight with Dems and the media. That is one of the things that makes Trump so necessary.

I was one that truly though that Sessions would be a good AG. I waited, and I waited, and he just didn't deliver the goods. He just sorted of hid in the swamp water with many others like him.

I am pleased with the election results, and hope that Tommy can take back that Senate seat. I was a "bama boy" for a number of years, and part of me still lives in Mobile.

Come on man...really? That’s pretty weak.

Either vote for one man or vote for the other man but don’t vote for either as a fan.
says the fan.

Actually, no. I was admiring those residents from Tuscaloosa County for their ability to rise above their passions and place their love for their favorite football team aside by voting for their rival's former coach as State Senator.

"It says a lot about Alabamians as a whole", I said.

Well, you screwed that platitude up pretty quickly.

Nice job Super Fan!!!
