The problem with it is the “Professor” wasn’t expecting to meet any resistance in her statements. I imagine she believed she would be proclaimed a forward thinker by her students. When the lie fell apart and it became obvious someone was going to think for themselves, she did not know how to react, respond or cope to anything outside her echo chamber. Which is not entirely uncommon and surprising that she did not start screaming at him.

I would argue that it does. Who would be a 20-something adjunct professor? Someone whose transition to adulthood basically consisted of going to high school, then going directly to college, then going directly into a Master's program, then going directly into a PhD program without ever really stepping outside the ivory tower of academia. Anyone else could all too easily be in their 30s or older when they started teaching. Who would work for an adjunct professor's pay? A 20-something whose transition to full adulthood consisted of going straight through from high school freshman to newly-minted PhD. Who would believe the crap she spewed? A 20-something whose transition to full adulthood exclusively consisted of going straight through to from high school freshman to newly-minted PhD. How good a job did she do of becoming an adult? Well, she never really entered actual adulthood. All she can do is echo what she heard while trying to put an new and interesting-sounding spin on it in hopes of advancing her career.

Antifa rioters go wild in Portland for May Day protests despite mayor pledging to 'unmask' the anarchist mobs https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne...s-fought-police.html Two riots of about 30 and 100 people vandalized businesses and government buildings in Portland in the name of 'autonomous demonstrations' on May Day Five people were arrested, including one man who's accused of pulling a butterfly knife on a cop, according to Portland police Before the riots, the day was full of peaceful protests A week before the riots, Portland mayor urged the city to protest peacefully and promised a crack down of 'the self-described anarchist mob' The mayor's comments angered some, including death threat from an anonymous Twitter who used voice-disguising technology 'Blood is already on your hands, Ted,' said the video's narrator, wearing a full-face mask. 'The next time, it may just be your own' _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." Gents - Rochester, MN is literally making BLM “Government Speech” so that they do not have to permit opposing views. School district will allow BLM speech, but not dissenting opinions Reported first by Power Line, the school board voted unanimously last week to make “Black Lives Matter,” among other phrases, “government speech.” Under this arrangement, the district apparently does not have to create space for dissenting opinions. Making symbols and slogans like “Black Lives Matter,” “Brown Lives Matter,” “Indigenous Lives Matter,” “All Are Welcome Here,” “Stop Asian Hate,” and the pride flag all forms of government speech means, in theory, that no legal action can be taken against the district for not allowing opposing views. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Is "Government Speech" really a thing? Come on Man! https://townhall.com/tipsheet/...ng-officers-n2588922 The union that represents the officers in Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department announced in a press release on Monday 313 officers have left the force within the last year, highlighting how another city in the U.S. is dealing with retention problems amid rising crime rates. The D.C. Police Union's press release said one of the most disturbing aspects about the mass exodus of officers is almost half, 49 percent, "have just turned in their badge and walked away. The total strength of the rank-and-file is less than 3,300, the lowest number in decades." The Union says one of the main reasons for officers leaving the department stems from the D.C. City Council passing emergency police reform legislation last year following the murder of George Floyd by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. At the time the police union said their officers were overwhelmingly opposed to the legislation and warned crime was going to rise as a result of the reforms. "Many of our members have voiced that that Bill eliminates collective bargaining rights for employees, it makes it exceedingly more difficult to charge a suspect with assaulting a police officer, it changes body worn camera policy in such a way that is can no longer be used as an evidence collection tool, and it changes the language in use of force policy in the most utterly confusing way that even the Councilmembers could not figure out the intent or the impact of the language," the Union's June statement said Names of officers and body-worn camera footage released within 72 hours Gives disciplinary process to the mayor Prohibits munitions during peaceful demonstrations Today, the Union says their predictions have come to pass. Some city wards, such as Wards 2 and 3, have seen a 300 percent increase in homicides, while others are up 80 percent since June of last year.

A trend we'll see continue and grow, no doubt. https://www.kiro7.com/news/loc...5QNFDJHNONVQ3EA6IPA/ Over 200 Seattle police officers quit amid national protests.
The gal who cuts my hair also has a regular who is SPD, and he told her they're actively trying to push out the veteran white officers, men especially. Seattle is going to be the next Detroit, and sooner, rather than later. We're looking to get out as soon as we can. Ran into some delays this last year, but I am ready to pull the ripcord while the housing market in the suburbs is still booming from urban flight. ______________________________________________ Carthago delenda est

Biden Admin Drops Dozens Of Charges Against Violent Protesters In Portland https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...-protesters-portland Authored by Jonathan Turley, We recently discussed how the plea agreement with a BLM protester (who tried to cut the brake lines on a police vehicle) may indicate a significant shift from the Trump Administration in prosecuting violent protesters. New figures out of Portland would indicate that there is such a major shift occurring. The Justice Department are dropping 58 of the 97 criminal charges brought after the Portland riots, including assaults on officers. I previously criticized the federalization of these protest cases. Local police were clearly relying on the federal government - as opposed to their own local prosecutors - to address violent protesters. Yet I was also critical of the role of local officials in dismissing and even in some cases fueling such violence with their rhetoric or inaction. There is clearly a reluctance by many local officials to prosecute violent protesters. Indeed, cities like Atlanta have dropped charges against protesters. Most of the charges brought for violent protests in the wake of the killing of George Floyd were dismissed. One of those defendants who saw their charges dropped in Portland was David Bouchard who admitted that he put a Customs and Border Protection officer in a chokehold. Likewise, the Justice Department dismissed the charge against Charles Comfort who was indicted by a grand jury of civil disorder for twice charging at Portland Police Bureau officers and hitting them with a makeshift shield and kicking a third officer. Once again, I remain opposed to using federal charges in many of these local cases, but the decision was to pursue these individuals in the federal system. Now they will walk without any prosecution. There are reportedly 31 deferred resolution agreements (DRA) signed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Portland, including 19 charged with felonies and some involving alleged assaults on federal officers. We recently saw a belated change in the rhetoric of some leaders like Portland’s Mayor Ted Wheeler finally condemning anarchists (though he avoided specifically mentioning Portland’s homegrown Antifa group). While such leaders previously blamed the Trump Administration for the protests, they have continued unabated after the election, including continued rioting in Portland. _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." https://www.dailywire.com/news..._campaign=benshapiro City Of Atlanta Reinstates Police Officer Fired Last Summer After Shooting Rayshard Brooks The City of Atlanta’s Civil Service Board announced on Tuesday morning that it has reinstated police officer Garrett Rolfe, who shot and killed Rayshard Brooks last summer, because the city failed to give Rolfe his right to due process. The board released its decision Wednesday, writing: Due to the City’s failure to comply with several provisions of the Code and the information received during witnesses’ testimony, the Board concludes the Appellant was not afforded his right to due process. Therefore, the Board GRANTS the Appeal of Garrett Rolfe and revokes his dismissal as an employee of the APD. Rolfe shot and killed Brooks in the parking lot of a Wendy’s restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, last June after Brooks attacked Rolfe and another police officer who were attempting to take him into custody. The Daily Wire reported at the time: Police were called to a Wendy’s restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, because Brooks, 27, had fallen asleep behind the wheel of a car while in the drive-through, which was disrupting the movement of vehicles that were in line. The interaction between the police and Brooks was mostly calm until the attempted arrest following his breathalyzer, which showed that he was driving while drunk. Videos from the incident “indicate that during a physical struggle with officers, Brooks obtained one of the officer’s Tasers and began to flee from the scene,” the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said at the time. “Officers pursued Brooks on foot and during the chase, Brooks turned and pointed the Taser at the officer. The officer fired his weapon, striking Brooks.” The New York Times reported at the time Brooks was shot by the police officer who was chasing him after Brooks “looks behind him, points the Taser he is holding in Officer Rolfe’s direction, and fires it.” The Daily Wire added: Despite this information, many in the media and Democrat Party have claimed that Brooks was “murdered” while he was “complying” with the police officers and was being “cooperative.” They have also claimed that Brooks had just fallen “asleep in” the car and was “not drivin[g]” and that he was “running for his life” because the police were the ones who “had to escalate it.” Such claims are disputed by the body camera footage that was released by the Atlanta Police Department, which shows that the interaction that the officers and Brooks had was mostly respectful up until the moment the officers tried to place him under arrest for drunk driving, at which time Brooks tried to run, got into a psychical altercation with the officers, took one of their tasers, began running, and then fired the taser at one of the officers who was in pursuit. “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” - John Adams
