A note on the UN, from a prominent atty years ago. The US Constitution divides power among three branches, which balance the power between themselves, keeps the power close to the people through voting. The UN Charter concentrates power into the hands of a few, and keeps power away from the vote of the people. IE, the UN Charter is set up like a dictatorship. The UN should have no influence over US gov't.

Fortunately, I am riot free here in the little town on the lake. But is it leftist free? Nope. We are loaded with them. Marquette county is the only county in the UP that voted Hillary in the last election. And our population is silent on the Whoo Hoo Floo restrictions placed on us by the Governor, despite a ridiculously low infection rate. There is a small group (less than 100) of SJW protestors that walk the streets and make noise. It is primarily led by a black man and seems to be made up mostly of college kids and old hippies. They are not true residents and have no real ties to the community that I see. Our local media has fallen all over this "leader" and has interviewed him him several times. He has even managed to get meetings (dialogs) with the local chief of police which have been YouTubed.
So he has been granted legitimacy. In an area where our black population is less than 100.
And this is the main crux of the situation: The media fawns over the left and grants it a false legitimacy. Does this "leader" worry me? Nope. Pretty soon, a UP winter will roll in and its hard to push anarchy while its 10 below.
My concern is if things continue to erupt and disrupt the major cities we will have an influx of idiots coming here to escape the messes they made and infect us with more leftism.
Like others, I believe that something momentous is coming and all I can do is try to prepare for it as best I can.
And I would love to see Trump take a higher profile and really come out fighting for us.

These “peaceful protests” are well planned and stocked with items ahead of time.

We had a violent protest here in Albuquerque that the media calls a peaceful protest and prayer vigil. My ass.
Some antifa and basement dwellers wanted to tear down a statue and some counter protesters showed up. A man (Mr. Baca) was criticizing the antifa then Mr. Baca was recognized ( his dad was a sheriff) and being threatened. Mr. Baca attempted to leave but a antifa female blocked his path so Mr. Baca tossed her to the ground and tried to walk away
But he was chased by two three maybe more and the mob attacked him. He was hit with a skateboard and about to be stabbed so Mr. Baca shot the POS. The media has already convicted him, failed to show Mr.Baca being hit or talk about the knife the thug dropped after getting shot. No charges against the thugs. Mr Baca was charged.
The media still calls it a peaceful protest.

As a self-employed small business owner, I am beyond frustrated with what I'm quite sure, is the .gov (read us) subsidizing all these "mostly peaceful protests".

I'm more than confident that most of these people in the street are out there while receiving that ridiculous $600/week "unemployment" stipend. These assholes wouldn't be able to afford to get to and attend most of these "rallies" were it not for us paying them the equivalent of well over $30k/year.

By my math it's $600 + a minimum of another $200 per week on unemployment right now. that works out to an absolute minimum of $3,200 per month. What really offends me about that figure is that I've never payed myself more than $1,500 per month as a business owner, via payroll. Liability insurance in my field is based on the salary of the insured employee, and $1,500/mo is the break-even point where the rates start going up... So yeah, I'm pretty sure we're paying these uneducated fools to try and destroy the country we love.

This has been on my mind pretty heavily lately. I've been keeping tabs on the rioting and what's not making it into the news, and how they spin what does, and my conclusion is that whether Trump wins or loses, the rioting will continue.

The left is all-in on this, and if they somehow steal the election, I foresee them wanting to punish the other half of the country that hasn't lost their goddamn mind. If Trump wins, the riots will continue and worsen. Either way, I think we will see people targeted for voting Republican starting this fall and going forward.

They've already decided we're deplorable racists and white supremacists and Nazi's and all the things they absolutely hate. They long ago began the process of dehumanizing the enemy. Trump hadn't even been sworn into office yet and I was hearing "see a Nazi, say a Nazi, punch a Nazi" at my workplace. It's only built in volume and pitch since then. I had a conversation with a neighbor about a month ago who flatly told me "if I thought I could get away with it, I'd kick your fucking head in for voting for that stupid sonofabitch." The same guy then said he wanted to see every Fox news anchor executed on live television with a gunshot to the head. I was shocked, but I shouldn't have been. He then started going on about how he's been watching WWII documentaries "about Hitler" on Netflix. I chuckled and asked him what he knew about WWII - he admitted not much. I asked him what killed the the most people in the last century and he immediately replied with "the holocaust?" I said "that's 11 million right there, that's a lot of people. Now how many people died under communism?" He had no idea. So I told him. "Nothing in history has stacked bodies like communism and socialism, neither world war, nor the holocaust, nor any plague, nothing. Combined, they still don't even compete with nearly 150 million dead." He flatly did not believe me. "Stop believing the conspiracy theories." I recommended he pick up some actual books, and preferably something published before 2000, and he said "I don't like reading." So people getting their information from Netflix are advocating the use of political violence and murder against their countrymen, their neighbors. That's where we are now. It blows my mind.

Folks, we have until November to get our ducks in a row in our personal lives and prepare for an absolute shit storm. I hope to God that I'm wrong, but I really think we're coming to a boiling point in this country. What I didn't tell my neighbor was a line from, I believe, Larry Correia. I paraphrase: "The left views political violence like a knob on the thermostat. You can dial it up or down to suit your needs. The right views it more like an on/off switch." There's a part B to that quote, but it borders on bluster, so I won't post it. Suffice it to say, nobody wants to be backed into a corner. More violence is coming, and the suburbs are next.

I'm about a forty-five minute drive from Capitol Hill, the epicenter of the nonsense happening in Seattle. I don't go up there for any reason. But what has been a bit alarming is driving through a lot of small towns and seeing white people at every corner of the main intersections in small towns wearing black t-shirts and waving signs that read "BLM" and "White silence is violence" or "White silence is murder." I've seen it Kent, Covington, Maple Valley and even Black Diamond. Black Diamond, if you've never been there, is an old mining town that has maybe two traffic lights, real "blink and you'll miss it" kind of small town America. We went over the pass to central Washington a few weekends ago, which I've been assured is a far cry politically from western Washington. We drove through one of those intersection protests in Ellensburg one day, and saw group wearing BLM shirts walk past the restaurant we ate at the next afternoon.

The post about this being an insurgency is one I agree with. If those same small groups are willing to gather in daylight in the heat to wave signs, they'll sure be willing to gather in the cool night of the fall and toss molotov cocktails at houses. Whatever the outcome of the election, for the first time in my life, I see this kind of violence as a distinct possibility, if not an outright eventuality.

The National Guard rolled in a mile away. After local 'protesters' broke into a State (liquor) Store and adjacent businesses. I watch a bit of video. Fully American-Muslimized men and women, triple-parked at times, robes, full body coverings, looting cases of wine and liquor.

There is a lot of hatred towards those with the privilege to be able to think and work and earn for themselves.
