In stating “recent months,” it’s clear the decision may have come long before events in Charlottesville. Either way, these companies appear to have little interest in financial support from those who back the president. Maybe they had other reasons. If that’s the case, inquiring minds would like to know.

American Humane Association Hero Dogs luncheon

Autism Project of Palm Beach County

Bascom Palmer Eye Institute gala

I donate to charities so they can do their charitable work, not so their people can enjoy lavish extravaganzas at places like Mar-a-Lago--a place I certainly cannot afford. So this list is as much a list of charities that spend donors' money unwisely as anything else.

As such: Very disappointed to see The Salvation Army on that list Frown Guess they've seen my last donation.

Yup....it's sad to see The Salvation Army on the list. I'm glad St. Jude's and Ronald McDonald House aren't listed.....

Not one bit of thought or originality. If you're gonna grandstand, be original. I am not impressed.

Let them all go to the Breakers or other local hotels. Message received - your all a bunch of chicken shit cowards. I'd rather give my money to charities that don't do politics.

Bascom Palmer. I don't know why it surprises me to see that name on the list.

In the mid-1990s, I came very close to taking a job there, but I didn't want to be that far south.

[quote]Bascom Palmer.

I do not get that one. They have a bunch of liberals that donate to the place? I do not see Saint Jude or MD Anderson on the list yet. It really annoys me when we mix healthcare with this crap. In my neck of the woods, most docs are Republicans.

Many charities are scams. Wounded warrior Project comes to mind. My charity comes in non monetary form. I do not believe in giving money to any group. Give of your time and expertise, like the members on this Forum do.

I am NOT trying to tell others what to do. I am NOT. But my approach to this latest temper tantrum would be to write letters to ALL those who have chosen to enter the political arena - especially on the side of the liberals. It very well MAY NOT do any good at all.... But, on the other hand, it just might. And I can assure you that their intelligence level is such that they will NOT be able to understand the ire of the conservatives unless someone hits them right between the eyes with "the truth".

Truth doesn't matter to them since they live in the fantasy land. What they will understand is when the $ amounts go down. Then they'll start canibalizing and blaming each other before blaming their politics.

My take on it is if you're looking for donations, you best keep your politics to yourself so you don't bite the hand that feeds you.
