At some point the world passes you by like litter on the highway. She tied her identity and self worth to the world. As happened to aging celebs when she hit the scene in the 80s, younger more relevant celebs will and have eclipsed her. Thrashing about with ignoble stunts like this is unsightly and hastens the loss of her value.

She cleaned up (IE shaved her pits etc) in the early 90’s. When she released that B&W book or whatever, yeah real nice body. She got into fitness and was pretty ripped for a singer.
