Way overstyled. I looked at the Tundras when I bought my 2013 F-150. I liked them then, but the F-150 was several thousand less and actually had more equipment. Looked at them again when I bought my 2018 F-150. Price was comparable, but driving the Toyota it felt HUGE! The F-150 felt smaller and nimbler which is strange because they're both full-sized pickups.

Curious to actually see the new ones, but I have full confidence in the only dealer in town to mark them up well above sticker.

My brother in law's is a smooth riding truck for sure, but it is huge inside.
I think it has more back seat room than my 16 F150.

Seated comfortably in the driver's seat, I can't reach the 'Tune' knob in my fil's 08.

I don’t know why Toyota hates under seat storage. The crewmax will have under seat storage but they boxed it in. Your forced to lift the seat up to access storage. I have two car seats so that storage bin will never see the light of day.

The hybrid model has no storage due to the batteries being placed under the rear seat. I heard the TRD Pro will only be available in a hybrid.

Toyota said they didn’t develop the hybrid for fuel savings but for performance. I’m very curious where the mpg will be rated.

I read on an F150 forum the Ford hybrid can run the electric motor up to 50mph. Toyota will only run the electric motor up to 18mph.

Toyota also failed to add an onboard generator like the F150.

I was really expecting more from Toyota. They have been behind the times. I don’t think they did anything groundbreaking with this truck. Yea they put a TV on the dash, big whoop. You made an ecoboost engine. Yea, Ford did that a decade ago. I was hoping the hybrid was going to make more power and give better mileage.

It's undoubtedly a good truck but oh my it sure isn't stylish, it looks like a transformer!

Not big on the grill, but the big motor looks like a beast. That thing will likely walk away from my eco boost. F150s are getting so pricey I may look at these.

I'm a big Tundra fan but I think my 21 TRD Pro looks much better than the new one and will for a while.

It’s growing on me, slowly. SR and SR5’s I’ve read will be out in December and higher trims at some point in 2022. I’ll wait to see the initial results and engine reliability, but I could see myself going after one in the late spring/early summer next year if pricing is in line and initial reviews are positive.

Hoping they don't butcher the 4Runner. I like the current T4R, it's just in real need of some drivetrain updates.

Really like the old truck but don't care at all for the re-designed new truck. And as someone else noted, the grill size is absurd.

I kind of like it and with the some of the off-road bumper renderings from C4 Fabrication, it cuts the grill in half and looks good.

Okay, so the grille isn't big enough...

Maybe if they had the screen sticking out of the dash higher they would have extra room for a bunch of itty-bitty buttons that all look the same.

The petals look like they'd work for anybody that wears a size 8 or less.

Do we get cosmetic armrests with the console, or a real console?

How long before the A pillar paint/decal fades through?

Trailer brake fits like it was bought out of a J.C. Whitney catalog.

The wireless charging bay to the right of the shifter looks as if they were not through building the truck yet.

The red interior trim package makes me think somebody lost a bet.

Looks like shit when the rear bumper and spoiler aren't painted as the body color, but the gas door can't match?

Switches/buttons on both tail lights. What could go wrong with that?

At least it comes with Fox shocks and a coil spring rear, but with the skid plate, how many hours does it take to swap the oil filter?

Overall, it looks like a TuRD. Many will buy and drive such a thing as their pride and joy... 'Tis a no for me.

My favorite vehicle ever was a 2011 Tundra. Never loved my 2018 as much. A V-6 is a big step back in a truck. I think I'll have to stick with my V-8 Ford despite my love for the older Tundra's......

I have a 2019 V8 4x4

I use it too..

Best truck I have ever owned, and I have been through my share.

I would not buy this Tundra... it's ugly and I don't buy a V6 in a man truck..

Are you really suggesting taking a cutting wheel to the grill of a brand new $70k full size truck? And it will be every bit of $70k fully loaded on dealer lots. Wanna go rock crawling, buy and mod an older Jeep or Toyota. Cutting on it will prove far less painful.

The front bumper is black and visually blends with the grill to make the grill appear to extend all the way to the ground.

Just imagine the front bumper painted to match the body and the front grill looks much more proportional.

I could live with it.

Exterior looks: meh. Darthfuster's truck above is very nice looking. The new one, not so much.

Interior: I absolutely hate the screen on the dash. Controls should be tactile buttons so I can use them without having to look at them. I don't understand why I'm not allowed to talk on my handheld cellphone while I drive, but it's ok to have a widescreen tv right in front of my face. The latter is far more distracting. It causes increased glare at night and makes me take my eyes off the road to navigate through the controls. And if it's anything like my durango, it'll lock up and not work about 15% of the time. The whole touch-screen dash concept was flawed from the get-go...the enormous screen just takes it to a whole other level of stupid.

Also, console shift in a truck? Screw that! My 01 Silverado base model may be old, beat, and tired without all the fancy accoutrements. But it starts every time, has probably done more truck stuff over its life than a whole fleet of these fancy grocery-getters will, and it will accommodate my family of 6, with seats and belts for everyone. I think it looks better, it's simpler and easier to work on, and I wouldn't trade it for anything coming out of the auto-makers today, even if I could afford it.

Not a Tundra fan, never owned one, but I do like the exterior styling, they needed to change something up. I don't know about the interior. The big screen TV has to go but the rest of it might be OK but it's something I would need to sit in and get a feel for.
