Texas had a large amount of Czech settlers and as a result we have 3 Kolache festivals:
  • June 10th - there is a kolache-klobase festival in East Bernard, TX (about 50 miles southwest of downtown Houston)
  • July 31st - there is a kolache festival in Burleson County, TX. (near Texas A&M).
  • Last Saturday of September - there is a kolache festival in Hallettsville, TX (about 100 miles southwest of downtown Houston). Only 15 min from Shiner's Spoetzl Brewery.
