That truly sucks. End of an era, and no need for it.

They're also offering, from the dealer, 3rd party convertible conversions on the Challenger for 2023 models.

Cool cars for sure, but are they selling? I’ve bought quite a few cars in the last 20 years and never once considered a Challenger or a Charger. I drove a Challenger for the first time last week when my dad was shopping. He bought a Corvette.

Just thinking about it, I’ve owned one sedan and that was the family hand me down 1979 Oldsmobile Regency. The last sedan my parents owned was a 1990 Acura Legend that I think my uncle still drives.

One of the few cars in history that went up in sales just about every year. It’s especially noteworthy when a coupe that is virtually unchanged visually for 15 years can pull it off for so many years in a row.

Charger is quite popular with a number of State Patrol agencies. I wonder if they'll keep it on strength for the fleet market.

I think the Brampton plant is switching over to different platforms so I doubt it.

State, county and local City PD around here all drive chargers or a Ford/Chevy SUV

The most recent models of challenger /chargers had some awesome engine combos at the top of the line. The jailbreak and demon options are amazing for an off the shelf production car.

The Challenger sales posted above and from what I’ve been able to glean from the internet the Charger sells better would seem to be healthy numbers. Who knows what they are thinking. Confused

Gonna miss the charger.
Lost one last night in a pursuit. Couldn't keep up in my Ford Exploder. lol
I keep asking them to replace the fleet with awd chargers before they're gone.

Funny story about a Dodge Charger

Back in 2014, my work sent me for training near Rochester, NY

I got a rental car for the trip and they gave me a black Dodge Charger, man that was a blast to drive

I'm going up through upstate NY and see this SUV marked "Sheriff" and without thinking I blow right by it about 80 mph. In PA Sheriffs guard the county courthouses and provide security and handle prisoner transport etc. They aren't "real" cops per se

This guy lights me up and pulls me over and HE WAS PISSSSSED Eek

"WHY WOULD YOU DRIVE RIGHT PAST ME LIKE THAT???" he roars

I didn't want to say "Well, I didn't think you were a real cop (being in PA mode) there!" so I just apologized purposefully and told him no excuse, I messed up.

He yelled at me a bit more then told me to GTFO and don't let him see me coming through there again.

Dumbass me didn't realize that in NY State, the Sheriffs ARE the cops. Confused

When the Challenger, Mustang, and Camaro were introduced a few years ago, the only one I liked was the Challenger. It was the only one that resembled the ones from the late 60's. A four door Charger??? You've got to be kidding. Should have named it something else.

What will Soldier/Sailor/Airman/Marine Schmuckatelli fresh out of boot going to buy with a 28%APR attached?

Also, been wondering, are mufflers an added options? In NoVa it seems when ever someone goes roaring down the road with loud pipes, it is a Charger/Challenger.

I rented a late model Charger a few years ago. It was a blast to drive, however gas mileage was not that good.
