It's a shame to see them go, for certain. Love to see my 2015 6spd increase in value though. 6.2k miles.

its called a 'Charger' because you need to plug it in

its a shame that EV's are becoming more prevalent

another sign of the decline of intelligence

60 years ago when you bought a car, the owners manual gave advice on how to perform maintenance

now it tells you not to drink the batter acid

pathetic what the libtards have done to this country

Set a personal best a couple of years ago in a Challenger with a Hemi - 141mph.

I won the rental car lottery.

Still more ignorant: Our electrical grid barely holds it together as is. If the majority of vehicles become electric, where the hell is all this juice gonna come from?

Right now in California, charging your Tesla costs more than your Smokin’ gas guzzler hooptie - if gasoline had remained the same price before Biden happened. LMFAO Big Grin

Pathetic.

In what way? Remember the torque characteristics of an electric motor - it is instant, nearly from the moment it starts to turn. That translates to hauling ass. If you mean being forced upon us because of the misguided notion that they will save the planet, I'm 100% in agreement there.

Sound and feel for two quickies. I’m not an EV hater at all but it doesn’t matter how fast an EV is there are many things that just can’t be duplicated with an electric other than speed.

And before someone posts the Tesla with the Hellcat noises coming from the speakers it’s not the same at all.

I keep asking them to replace the fleet with awd chargers before they're gone.

In five years you'll be using drones for pursuit.

The same can be said for steam. Maximum torque at zero RPM.

You could get full pressure from a Doble (the finest motorcar ever made) in about 15 seconds. No choke, mechanical spark advance, etc...

Forty or so years later, the Doble steam powertrain was still considered to be perfection, but technology moves on.

I can't see buying an electric that takes more than seven minutes to get to full range. Plus I like the rumble of 500+ horsepower driving to work. Big Grin

Hate to see them go...but if everyone goes electric by 2030 like many are predicting you wont be able to find a parking spot at a Cracker Barrel because everyone will be plugging in their car on the interstate. And you thought the Chick-fil-A drive thru line was long!

I can just see myself now at the stop light in neutral, blipping the throttle of my EV.

The guy across the street one house over has a real Challenger with that big cam lopey idle.

The other guy across the street one house over the opposite direction has a Tesla Model X.

Guess which one I don’t mind hearing at all.

The "transition" cannot happen anywhere near as fast as the politicians taking money for the greens say. We need orders of magnitude increases in mining all the metals needed for the batteries. Guess what the greens will do to if you try to open a new mine?

But for sheer performance, nothing can beat electric. Teslas beating everything else that is street legal on the 1/4 mile strip. The Italian exotics are going electric or at least hybrid to avoid losing to a sedan.

The Charger and Challenger will get an inline turbo 6 DI that gets better fuel economy for the performance versions, with electric and/or hybrid in the fastest ones.

They are not dumb enough to abandon all the police sales and police cannot wait to charge up their cars...

Once upon a time, in America, consumers had the freedom to choose products and services in a free market driven by consumer demand for those goods and services. Today our government is determining which products will be available to the consumers. It reminds me of a punchline to an old joke about alcohol purchases in Pennsylvania delivered in a heavy Russian accent, “In old country, every store is State Store”. It’s no longer funny as we head further down that road.

Dammit. Picking up a nice used Challenger R/T in decent shape is high on my bucket list. The prices were looking pretty reasonable. But then economy, and gas prices, and now this bullshit. Like a cascade of political diarrhea all over my dream car. The price for that just went up.

Lame. Who in the hell wants an electric "muscle car?"

Pass. And I think lots of others will pass as well.

Yep, those should be just great down here in Hurricane Alley when Mother Nature knocks out all the electricity.

Give 'em time. Eventually all the OEM's will be making cars virtually no one wants to buy.
