Ooh, I just thought of another favorite. Don't get a chance to eat it often, though...

Leberkäse

It's a thick slice of warm German meatloaf, served on a Kaiser roll, topped with a fried egg and spicy mustard.

We used to have a fantastic hole-in-the-wall German restaurant around here, and a Leberkäse sandwich with a tall glass of Hefeweizen was my usual order. Sadly, it closed a little over a year ago.

I used to love almost anything at Schlotzsky's but there aren't anymore around here.

I used to love the Italian at Panera, they changed it and then got rid of it.

Publix makes a killer sandwich, usually get the ultimate on white.

AT home, nothing beats a BLT with toasted white bread, garden fresh tomato, thick cut bacon from Costco, lettuce and a bit of Miracle whip on it

Oh yeah - liverwurst with onion, cheese, and mustard on rye or pumpernickle.

Not much beats a good muffaletta.

Grilled Italian Sausage and peppers is probably a close second.

My standard "worked late and eat quick" sandwich is pastrami and swiss with good whole grain mustard on a bagel. Toast it in the oven.
