Sears has them for under $19.

These folks do a good job. It’s a good place to start. Some of the manufacturers have the break down for parts as well. Then shop price ....

It was mentioned earlier that is the wrong part, unfortunately.

I reached out to Brad via email to get his take on the Republicans vying for the GOP nominees in a couple of the 2016 primary races. He responded with his thoughts. That is the kind of thing I miss from Brad around here.

Personally, I always felt the incessant "Paging Appliance Brad" posts kind of tacky. Now, finding out he'd give advice and people would go buy the parts elsewhere, well...

If I recall, didn't he run for elected office and get voted in at one point?

It may have been 3 or 4 years ago

He ran, but did not win, IIRC?

keep in mind he's very active in first responder stuff, his business and family ,
in other words , he has three lives ,

so
"ancillary" might be the title of his sig forum activities.

I follow him & his store on FB. I'd say if you want his help do so, but spend your $$$ there.

I never had the opportunity to speak with Brad directly, but I did very much enjoy reading his posts, especially on non-appliance related subjects. Brad is a credit to the forum and I'd welcome him back were he convinced to return.

Should either, or both, choose to return to the fold, it would be good to see hand-slappings for anyone posting "Paging Appliance Brad." Something about that phrase always seemed in poor taste to me. The man isn't a fucking bellhop. Other members get the "white courtesy phone" treatment to check their emails, but somehow, someone thought it was cute to "page" this gentleman asking for free advice in an open forum like he couldn't, and shouldn't make money from his expertise and it stuck. That shit should probably cease.

At one time there was an edict forbidding the whole "Paging member XXXX" posts.

Been reading the witness protection thread? :-)

My cousin is an appliance repair guy, and a damn good one, but I can tell you he would not have lasted as long as Brad did. Brad gave us his best, so be thankful for it.

He did, and it would be nice to be able to give back.

Thanks to those who offered assistance with the thermostat. No success finding the part, but it appears they've poped up on Ebay twice in the past 4-5 months, so I'll keep my eyes peeled. I'd gladly call Brad's business and purchase the part from him, but the part was discontinued 5 years ago, and I've spent several hours scouring the web with no luck so I'm feeling like it's a lost cause. Excam_man's work-around really interests me, but mine is currently working, so I'd prefer not to mess with it to take measurements for now.

With the search for the thermostat more or less concluded, I'd really prefer to see this thread become the "welcome back Brad" thread.

Is it possible to edit OP and change the title?
