Haven't seen a post recently, Brad, hope you're doing OK. I have an older GE Profile Fridge, model number TPX21PRXDWW, and am experiencing my first issue with it. I need a Temp Control Thermostat, part number WRnineX521 I believe (sorry, my computer has an issue typing nines on the forum). It was discontinued about 4 years ago, but I was hoping you might know of a source that specializes in used or discontinued parts. Hate to trash the fridge over a $50 part even if it is 25 years old.

Anyone else with a source or workaround, I'm all ears. You'd think another Thermostat could be made to work, even if it doesn't look purty. Thanks

He left the forum long ago under the pressure of constant request for his guidance on appliance issues.

Was the problem constant requests, or that some people started second-guessing an obvious expert in the area?

He couldn't come here without constant requests for advice. No reasonable person can blame him for tiring of that shit.

He has responded to my emails in the past, you might want to try that or calling his place of business and talking to someone at the parts counter.

I wish he'd have just changed his screen name and hung around. I enjoyed his posts.

If he didn't want to be pestered here, I seriously doubt he wants people calling him at work for free advice.

That part is obsolete/out of stock everywhere I looked. Looks like it’s time for a new fridge.

He was such a good guy, sorry he’s gone. He really helped me on a problem I had with something. Can’t remember exactly what now. Over 10 yrs ago now. I was so pleased I had TGS ship him 2 Magpul mags when they first came out. He replied on em he didn’t have any and was very grateful. As helpful as he was, he should have been swimming in gifts.

Well, I have an idea. I've emailed him. Let's see if he's around. This is fixable.

Good deal! Big Grin He's a great guy.

And FWIW he's been chasing a Sinn U1 fully tegimented diver stateside for about a year now with no success. I've been unable to help him find a nice used one. As much as he's helped others in the past, it'd sure be nice if someone can help him out. Wink

Anyone got a phone number for the man? I see an 800 number in his profile. If you have a cell or residential landline number, please shoot me an email.

You may already know this, but his son is a member here as well. Logrusmaster is his name.

But I'm sure someone will send you his phone number.
