If Strzok has indeed lost his security clearance, there won’t be much to talk about in a closed session. They can’t share classified info with him, even stuff he already knows.

Add: Fox News is now saying the hearing will be closed.

Robert Mueller hasn't done anything to dispel the suspicion that the FBI/DoJ "investigation" of Russia/Donald Trump is actually an operation to frame the President on false charges, weaken his political support, and set him up for impeachment.

In just a few weeks the "investigation" will be 2 years old. Although the conspiracy may be considerably longer than that.

Mueller wants Papadopoulos to be sentenced in Sept or Oct 2018. Just in time for the November election.

Mueller has Paul Manafort in solitary confinement although Manafort has not been convicted of anything. Manafort's bail was revoked by an Obama appointee.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/m...=article_email_share

Mueller’s Fruit of the Poisonous Tree

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation may face a serious legal obstacle: It is tainted by antecedent political bias. The June 14 report from Michael Horowitz, the Justice Department’s inspector general, unearthed a pattern of anti-Trump bias by high-ranking officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Some of their communications, the report says, were “not only indicative of a biased state of mind but imply a willingness to take action to impact a presidential candidate’s electoral prospects.”

Crossfire was launched only months before the 2016 election. Its FBI progenitors—the same ones who had investigated Mrs. Clinton—deployed at least one informant to probe Trump campaign advisers, obtained Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court wiretap warrants, issued national security letters to gather records, and unmasked the identities of campaign officials who were surveilled. They also repeatedly leaked investigative information.

Mr. Horowitz is separately scrutinizing Crossfire and isn’t expected to finish for months. But the current report reveals that FBI officials displayed not merely an appearance of bias against Donald Trump, but animus bordering on hatred

The report adds, importantly, that “most of the text messages raising such questions pertained to the Russia investigation.” Given how biases ineluctably shape behavior, these facts create a strong inference that by squelching the Clinton investigation and building a narrative of Trump-Russia collusion, a group of government officials sought to bolster Mrs. Clinton’s electoral chances and, if the unthinkable happened, obtain an insurance policy to cripple the Trump administration with accusations of illegitimacy.

The inspector general concludes that the pervasive bias “cast a cloud over the FBI investigations to which these employees were assigned,” including Crossfire. And if Crossfire was politically motivated, then its culmination, the appointment of a special counsel, inherited the taint. All special-counsel activities—investigations, plea deals, subpoenas, reports, indictments and convictions—are fruit of a poisonous tree, byproducts of a violation of due process.

Some members of the Trump team interacted with Russians and advocated dovish policies. But so did numerous American political and academic elites, including many Clinton advisers. Presidential campaigns routinely seek opposition research and interact with foreign powers. The Clinton campaign funded the Steele dossier, whose British author paid Russians to dish anti-Trump dirt. The Podesta Group, led by the brother of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign chairman, received millions lobbying for Russia’s largest bank and the European Center for a Modern Ukraine, both with deep Kremlin ties. The Clinton Foundation and Bill Clinton took millions from Kremlin-connected businesses.

No evidence has emerged of Trump-Russia collusion, and Mr. Mueller has yet to bring collusion-related charges against anyone . Evidence suggests one of his targets, George Papadopoulos, was lured to London, plied with the prospect of Russian information damaging to Mrs. Clinton, and taken to dinner, where he drunkenly bragged that he’d heard about such dirt but never seen it. These circumstances not only fail to suggest Mr. Papadopoulos committed a crime, they reek of entrapment. The source of this information, former Australian diplomat Alexander Downer, admits Mr. Papadopolous never mentioned emails, destroying any reasonable inference of a connection between the DNC hack and the Trump campaign.

Given the paucity of evidence, it’s staggering that the FBI would initiate a counterintelligence investigation, led by politically biased staff, amid a presidential campaign

Mr. Trump’s critics argue that the claim of political bias is belied by the fact that Crossfire was not leaked before the election. In fact, there were vigorous, successful pre-election efforts to publicize the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. Shortly after Crossfire’s launch, CIA Director John Brennan and Mr. Comey briefed Congress, triggering predictable leaking. Christopher Steele and his patrons embarked on a media roadshow, making their dossier something of an open secret in Washington.

On Aug. 29, 2016, the New York Times published a letter to Mr. Comey from Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, saying he’d learned of “evidence of a direct connection between the Russian government and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign,” which had “employed a number of individuals with significant and disturbing ties to Russia and the Kremlin.” On Aug. 30, the ranking Democratic members of four House committees wrote a public letter to Mr. Comey requesting “that the FBI assess whether connections between Trump campaign officials and Russian interests” may have contributed to the DNC hack so as “to interfere with the U.S. presidential election.” On Sept. 23, Yahoo News’s Michael Isikoff reported the Hill briefings and the Steele dossier’s allegations regarding Carter Page. On Oct. 30, Harry Reid again publicly wrote Mr. Comey: “In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government.”

given what is now known, due process demands, at a minimum, that the special counsel’s activity be paused

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

paused hell. it should be terminated.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Thursday that former FBI official Peter Strzok has lost his security clearance amid an internal disciplinary review.

“Mr. Strzok, as I understand, has lost his security clearance,” Sessions told radio host Howie Carr.

Strzok was escorted out of FBI headquarters on Friday, the day after the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released its long-awaited report about the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

How is it that this has taken so long to occur?

I've stated on previous occasions that Strzok is an unrepentant adulterer. By its very defininition, adultery is deceit, lying, faithlessness, manipulation and shamelessness. It may not be illegal, but it certainly undermines the character of the adulterer. 100%.

Strzok is probably pissed. For all the crimes Hillary committed she never lost hers.

And Mueller? No matter what happens in November he needs to be fired. This farce has gone on WAY to long.

Comey is a weak human being. If the left actually won he would be swallowed up like the cum from a ten dollar hooker under an overpass by the Hollywood Freeway. WEAK. The worst part? I actually believed the BS pushed out there by the left on how he was such a "staunch" supporter of law and order. I fell for the MSM stories about him. No more. Him, and his mentor Mueller, have been "un-masked" as the American hating traitors they are.

Unless you have been hiding on a South Seas island, you have become quite aware of the Justice Department Inspector General’s (IG) report released regarding the Clinton Investigation plus more. There are so many points here, but let’s focus on the most important ones:

1. This has nothing to do with the everyday men and women of the FBI. FBI Director Christopher Wray should stop hiding behind them like his mother’s skirt. This is all about the leadership of the FBI – the seventh floor of the building.

2. There was a culture created and protected that allowed a definitive bias to exist during the 2016 election and beyond in that group. That is on Comey’s head and there is no evidence Wray has obliterated that culture.

3. The fact that Peter Strzok and Lisa Page exchanged so many damning text messages on their FBI devices is evidence of that culture. We, in private industry, learned long ago that all of our emails/texts are subject to review at a further time. Strzok and Page most likely knew that because they had seen it used against FBI suspects. They went ahead with their communications anyway. There is only one rationale for their behavior. They thought they would never be looked at. They thought they were above the law because they thought they were the law.

4. Now that all the leadership has been alerted to the fact that they should not communicate their deeply-prejudicial political views on FBI devices should not mean they are just transferred to private devices. Wray’s comment that he will initiate bias training will not alleviate the bias any more than Howard Schultz shutting down Starbucks for racial bias training will alleviate racial bias.

5. The fact that FBI agents were being hosted by members of the media for golf outings and meals staggers the imagination. The vast majority of them did not even have authorization to communicate with the press.

6. There are a lot of reasons to question the wisdom and leadership of James Comey. But we now have one that is irrefutable. This man did not know that Huma Abedin was married to Anthony Weiner. How out of touch can one person be? I could go on with snarky remarks amplifying this astonishing fact, but all one has to say is: REALLY?

7. Why was Comey involved in the Clinton decision anyway? When AG Lynch had her meeting with former President Clinton and then lied to the public that the discussion was about grandchildren, she finally had to fess up and step aside. Why did her number

two not take over like when AG Sessions stepped aside? No one seems to have asked that. Why did it fall to Comey to make the decision whether to indict Clinton?

8. Some of the texts in the report were ones that were sent to Congress with incremental parts redacted. That means there is an active cabal within the FBI to hide information from us and our elected officials responsible for their oversight. That means Wray is not doing the job. That means Wray should be fired. The New FBI Director/acting FBI Director should immediately release all information unredacted to Congress and stop hiding behind the lie of “national security.”

9. Why did it take a congressman to provide the names of lawyer #2 and #5? Why did the IG hold back these names that sent inflammatory texts? The FBI stated they were working in counterintelligence when they were not. Why do they continue to treat us and our elected officials like children? Another reason the seventh floor needs to be swept clean.

10. The fact that the IG did not find direct bias in the decisions of the FBI is different from the fact that there was no bias. A blind man could see there was bias – extreme bias. The fact that the IG did not see it in the decisions is his own interpretation. Let’s not believe that despite the fine job the IG did he did not have an institutional bias to preserve the integrity of the FBI and Justice Department.

11. It is almost impossible to believe that people like Strozk and Page and others who harbored great animus toward Trump did not allow any of that animus to invade their work on the Clinton or Trump investigations. It defies almost any experience I have had in my life. It is possible, but the chances are the same for me flying to Mars.

12. Here is something to think about: The IG stated they could find no bias in the decisions made. Yet we discover through the report that Comey either inappropriately or illegally had used a private email address to perform FBI business. Thus, he was guilty of doing the same improper behavior Ms. Clinton was excused of in the investigation. Is it not possible that Comey knew if he endorsed indictment of Clinton his own malfeasance would come out and thus that drove his decision? Isn’t that bias?

13. As an aside, this report brought out that President Obama lied. And I thought Trump was the only president who lied. The report validated that Obama lied about when he knew that Clinton had a private server. But this should have been known two years ago if we had a functional press at the time. Obama had to be getting emails from her private email address as opposed to Hillary@secretaryofstate.gov. Didn’t he see that and say to himself “Why is Hil sending me an email from a private email address?” He neither said anything about it nor put a stop to it. He just lied about it when asked.

Of the tens of thousands of words I have read about this report, these words from the editors of the Investor’s Business Daily are my favorites: “But look at the report in its totality and you see that time and again officials made ‘judgment calls’ that weakened their investigation. In other words, from the range of options available to them, they consistently chose the less aggressive course of action.”

Here is another thought from the best source for analysis of these matters, Andy McCarthy;

“It has become a refrain among defenders of the FBI and Justice Department that critics are trying to destroy these vital institutions. In point of fact, these agencies are doing yeoman’s work destroying themselves — much to the chagrin of those of us who spent much of our professional lives proudly carrying out their mission.”

Don’t take the IG’s statement that he found no bias as it has been twisted by some. He found nothing that said “I am tanking this investigation to make sure Clinton wins and Trump loses.” This report clearly displays the FBI was out of control. It is still out of control evidenced by their belligerent attitude toward delivering subpoenaed information to our elected officials.

This organization needs a gutting at the top.

House Approves Resolution Demanding DOJ/FBI Docs

Remedy: 'Contempt or Impeachment'

Sarah Carter

The House Judiciary Committee approved for the first time a resolution Tuesday demanding that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein turn over all requested documents regarding the FBI’s handling of the Russia investigation during the presidential election after seven days or face possible impeachment or contempt.

The decision to move forward with the resolution came after a year of battles with the Justice Department and FBI to turn over requested documents. The committee voted on party lines 15-11 to pass the resolution directing Rosenstein to comply within the next seven days or face the consequences.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who has been one of the lawmakers at the frontlines of the committee’s investigation, said the resolution is the result of the frustration felt among lawmakers conducting oversight. He noted that it will be up to House Republican leaders to decide whether or not to take it to the full House for a vote.

“If they don’t comply with the resolution they know the remedies the House has, contempt and impeachment,” said Jordan. “If we don’t get that information entitled to us, everybody knows that we’ll do what we have to do to get it done.”

Jordan and Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, R-N.C., were the authors of the resolution. Both members have criticized Rosenstein and the FBI for failing to deliver documents. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-CA, has also been fighting the Justice Department for documents and has threatened as well to hold Rosenstein in contempt or impeachment if they are not produced.

The resolution does not include a penalty but Jordan noted that the lawmakers are prepared to file impeachment or contempt against Rosenstein. The resolution is expected to sit on the House floor until members return from their break after the next week.

Rosenstein, who is known for his quick temper with lawmakers during negotiations, has stonewalled numerous members of Congress questioning the Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged collusion between President Trump’s campaign and the Russians.

On Thursday, Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray are expected to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, where they will be asked questions regarding their failure to comply with the oversight committees.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said last week they are not taking contempt charges off the table. He told reporters on Tuesday “we do expect full compliance very, very soon, and if we do not get that then we will keep every single option available to us.”

From Sarah Carter:

House Judiciary and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee members grilled embattled, anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok behind closed doors on Capitol Hill Wednesday, as he attempted to explain his vehement bias against President Donald Trump, his senior role in the alleged Trump-Russia collusion investigation, and the exoneration of Hillary Clinton for her use of a private server while she was Secretary of State.

Strzok, who evaded a subpoena from House Judiciary Committee chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), voluntarily appeared at the hearing. Thousands of Strzok’s anti-Trump text messages, which he exchanged with former FBI lawyer and his paramour, Lisa Page, sparked anger from Republicans (and criticism from some Democrats) who contend that senior members of the FBI utilized their power and political leanings to target Trump both before and after the 2016 election.

Freedom Caucus & Judiciary Committee member, Matt Gaetz (R-FL) attended today’s deposition and reacted to Strzok’s testimony, telling the Sean Hannity Radio Show, “… I am shocked at the lack of curiosity with Robert Mueller. I mean Sean, if you were in Mueller’s shoes, and you had found these text messages, I would think that you would want to ask whether or not they impact the investigative decisions that were made, whether there was bias, whether there was contact with other members of the FBI regarding the investigation and where it was going and who was making the critical judgment calls,” the Florida Congressman said. “I just cannot believe the lack of curiosity on the part of Robert Mueller. It was the strongest reaction I had today from Peter Strzok’s testimony.”

Freedom Caucus member, Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL)-who was also in attendance- told SaraACarter.com, “It was a waste—Strzok is full of it and he kept hiding behind [the] classified information excuse.”

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI’s handling of the Clinton investigation noted Strzok’s bias against Trump in the Russia investigation but didn’t state whether or not it affected the outcome of the investigation. Horowitz is expected to release a third report on Strzok (along with other senior FBI officials) and his role in the Russia investigation and the bureau’s use of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants to target short-term Trump campaign volunteer, Carter Page.

Strzok, who was one of the bureau’s top counterintelligence agents against China and Russia, was escorted out of FBI headquarters shortly after Horowitz released his report. Attorney, Lisa Page resigned from the bureau after the text message fall-out and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was fired just days before his retirement after Horowitz and the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility concluded he had lied about leaking information to the press numerous times under oath.

Other senior FBI officials have also been fired or resigned as a result of the fall-out from the ongoing congressional and Inspector General investigations.

President Trump criticized Congress for not making the Strzok hearing public.

“The hearing of Peter Strzok and the other hating frauds at the FBI & DOJ should be shown to the public on live television, not a closed-door hearing that nobody will see,” he wrote on Twitter Tuesday. “We should expose these people for what they are—there should be total transparency!”

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) who was at the deposition Wednesday, told saraacarter.com that Strzok should be back to testify at an opening hearing.

The Judiciary Committee tweeted on Tuesday, “Peter Strzok will be interviewed first in a closed-door deposition. There will be classified information to sort through before a public hearing is held. A public hearing will be held!”

Republicans ask Rosenstein for names of everyone working on Mueller probe

A group of nine House Republican lawmakers has signed a letter asking Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to provide the names of everyone "past and present" who has worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.

The lawmakers say they are "disturbed" by the initial appointments to the probe of agents and attorneys with an anti-Trump bias. Their letter specifically references agent Peter Strzok, attorney Lisa Page and attorney Kevin Clinesmith.

"We know that these biases were shared among multiple people at the FBI and could be easily uncovered by Mr. Mueller with simple vetting," the letter says. "These individuals should not have been given an opportunity to influence – directly or indirectly – this special counsel investigation."

The letter also adds that the lawmakers are concerned that "there may be more politically biased investigators" working on Mueller's team.

Republicans have said they believe Clinesmith is the attorney identified in DOJ Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz's report on the Hillary Clinton email investigation as "Attorney 2." The Horowitz report, released earlier this month, includes messages from "Attorney 2" lamenting Trump's election as well as a missive reading "viva le resistance."

Strzok and Page were removed from the Mueller investigation last year after Horowitz's office informed Mueller about their anti-Trump messages. "Attorney 2," believed to be Clinesmith, was the primary FBI attorney assigned to the Mueller investigation but left the probe in February of this year.

"Congress's constitutional oversight gives us the responsibility to know ... whether other members of Mr. Mueller’s team harbor political biases and have conflicts of interest," the letter concludes. "These investigators endanger our ability to uphold justice."

The letter is signed by Reps. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz.; Scott DesJarlais, R-Tenn.; Jeff Duncan, R-S.C.; Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., Paul Gosar, R-Ariz.; Andy Harris, R-Md.; Jody Hice, R-Ga., Scott Perry, R-Pa.; and Ralph Norman, R-S.C.
