I just saw this email from Bereli for the Kershaw Leek 1660, great knife, 3" blade, assisted opening, U.S. made, for $39.99, with free shipping.

$52 on Amazon, but I've seen it for $50 elsewhere, but not with free shipping.

This is one of my favorite knives for a small utility pocket knife.

My Rat II is getting a bit sloppy, this looks like a great alternative for essentially the same knife.

I googled your Rat 2, and I'm pretty sure this Leek is smaller overall, and with a much thinner handle.

I do think the Leek is a better made knife, and U.S. origin, but if you have large hands or just want more to hold onto you may not be happy with the Leek.

Good observations. They both have a 3" blade, all else looks close enough for me. I don't use a pocket knife for anything too serious, have a sheath knife for that. Hence, more $$ to fine tune a fit isn't worth it. YMMV

I bought 2, the thin Leek has always made it my favorite EDC knife. And since my latest one has a bent tip I went ahead and bought 2

Thanks for the head’s-up! I ordered 2 for gifts. I’ve had one for years that I’m very pleased with.

Best EDC simple knife there is.
I have the matte black and the rainbow models.

I've asked myself that question often, and yet I have so many Leeks, I've lost count... at least two dozen.
