Generally secular/non-religious, highly-educated and living-in-the-better-neighborhoods ones, mainly women. Ones who will have the resources to move away from the Worker's Paradise when the policies come home to roost.

Accursed be all of them, every one.

Do the people who support this really think they're gonna stick it to the "Rich" people and that'll solve all their problems?

The "Rich" will just move leaving them in a worse situation.

A coworker told me the problem is there's too many billionaires. I told him I've never worked for a poor person.

Yes, you're right of course. My statement came out a little too abruptly.

Many/most of them won't.

Find a filthy rich conservative in New York City. I'll wait....

Thanks. Understood.

10-15% of the 5M eligible/registered voters and only 44% of all 5M voted.

All of NY shares in this.

I wonder how many of the 56% were "Republican voters of every flavor that did not vote, and could have voted for Cuomo.

As if it matters, after the fact.

NYC is fucked, and I agree with the statement above that all of NYS (in general) is responsible for what will be a sideways shit-storm for NYC and NYS.

A) TMK, very few Christians left in NYC. Very few Americans either.

B) The… calf worshippers? Followers of Jannes and Jambres?

Whatever the term is for atheist “Jews” - for some reason, they seem to always support strong, corrupt states.

Yes! As a bonus, The Rich won't get to enjoy all that wealth that they stole from poor people!

A recent local citizens' debate about health insurance devolved into a woman calling me a rich white guy who was lying about the UK National Health Service, amongst other epithets. (I have a number of relatives and friends in the UK, some who are MDs in the NHS, so my data is true). In the end she revealed her envy of people she perceived to have more than her and whom she determined were of the oppressor class.

Yes, stick it to the rich, and then the have-nots will have everything they desire.

That's the problem nationwide, and the #1 reason we have so many issues. It all starts locally.

As far as the COPA issue, I'll admit that I haven't looked into it, but wonder if there's an obvious loophole.

Most real estate is held by companies. I know my rental properties are all their own LLC. I wouldn't have to sell the property, I could just sell the company. New "owners", same "owner".

It is official- NYC is being led by an Islamic Muslim. Those who died in 9/11 are rolling in their graves. Shameful is an understatement.

quote:
Socialist Zohran Mamdani became mayor of New York City just after midnight Thursday, taking the oath of office as he placed his hand on the Islamic Quran in a private ceremony.

In doing so Mamdani, a Democrat, was confirmed as the first Muslim leader of America’s biggest city.

Did you inquire? They might have non-exclusively welcomed Buddhist and Jews.

So, if I'm understanding you correctly, because it was a Christian club you had to fight to keep yourself from vandalizing their property?

In the airline world there is every category of pilot association. Black, women, lgbt, Christian, Jewish, Asian, latino, and who knows what else. The only one that I haven't seen is White Male! And also I haven't seen an over-50 yr old airline pilots' association. But then the airlines don't hire but a token or two over 50 (to keep the lawsuits away), and quota limit white males.

All the aspiring airline pilots join many associations so that they can attend pilot recruiting conferences! It goes on their resumes that they attended all these minority conferences even though they aren't in that demographic. It has become farcical, except that it is now as important to getting hired by a major airline as taking entrance exams is to medical school admission.

No, you do not understand me correctly.

Not specifically because Christian, but because it specified a religion. My reaction was, what in the world has any religious affiliation got to do with a flying club? The purpose of most flying clubs, is joint ownership of one or more airplanes, to make flying affordable.

My reaction would have been the same for any religion that was specified for membership in a flying club.

NYC and those still living there deserve what they get in the coming months. The city is screwed. Hopefully, anyone that can , will leave, including businesses. the financial district started long ago to leave that swamp.

quote:
WASHINGTON (TNND) — New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani tapped an attorney who previously represented al Qaeda terrorist Ahmed al-Darbi to be the city’s chief counsel.

Mamdani shared on Tuesday that he selected Ramzi Kassem for the highest legal position in the Big Apple because of “his remarkable experience and his commitment to defending those too often abandoned by our legal system."

Kassem’s experience includes serving under the Biden administration as a senior policy advisor for immigration on the White House Domestic Policy Council. Kassem represented Columbia student Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian, who was arrested by ICE earlier this year for his alleged involvement in anti-Israel protests on Columbia’s campus. He was released from ICE detention in June, but his case remains unresolved.

But most famously, Kassem represented convicted terrorist al-Darbi, who pleaded guilty in 2014 for his role in a 2002 al Qaeda terrorist plot to bomb the French oil tanker MV Limburg located off the Yemen coast.

The terror attack killed one civilian and injured several others.
