Not up in the air any more. What I was alluding to is that they told me to expect an offer next week. I found out about the job before they posted it. Thus I had to wait for the idiot who I'm replacing to vacate and for them to post the job before I could apply for it. Once the process got started, it wrapped up pretty quickly.
