This is in Berkeley. Think Kommiefornia++.
Showing up with an MP5 and a backpack full of normal capacity magazines would be severely frowned upon. Showing up with less would be foolish. In the more sane areas of the state one could expect backup from both locals and LE. In places like Bezerkeley, best to just stay the heck out.

If we show up to events like this, we are playing their game. We have nothing to gain. Donald Trump is president, he is in the White House. His cabinet is in place, he just appointed his first Supreme Court justice, every day he rolls back more of the disaster that was Barack Hussein Obama.

The Left is filled with anger and resentment. And the intention to undermine Trump's authority, to make it seem like the country is in chaos.

In plain English: If you are a Trump supporter, stay the fuck home! News flash: We won!

But if for whatever reason, you do go to such an event, wear a helmet, and carry your "Trump" sign at the end of a three foot hickory dowel that is about 2 inches thick.

I see your point but look at it this way: If I want to go to a rally, why should I expect to get thumped around because of who I am supporting, regardless of whether they are in the position I wish them to be in? Those Trump supporters are trying to further our cause by going to these rallies. Once an election is over, the work does not stop. As an aside, the Trump supporters getting beaten just emboldens our position. I don't wish it upon anyone but at least they are standing up for what they believe in, even if they get knocked on their asses once in a while. Showing the world how childish and violent the "tolerant" left is, is just a bonus! I do agree that if we go to a rally, we need to carry our signs on axe handles.

In a perfect world you are exactly right. You should totally be able to go wherever you want, express whatever opinions you like, and still be treated respectfully. Sadly, we don't live in a perfect world. In an area like Berzerkeley, one can expect a beat down for supporting Trump at a rally. With today's Lame Stream Media, the odds are good that no matter who starts what and who gets beat, the media story will be about "those violent Trump supporters." While in a perfect world it would be great to go to rallies and support Trump, in the real world in which we live there are plenty of places where to do so is both unsafe and counterproductive. I believe justjoe is 100% right on this one. YMMV...

Why are there still rallies happening at all, especially Pro ones? He's the President now... go back to work, get on with your lives, or whatever. Campaigning, rallying, all of that jazz seems rather useless. They don't seem to help much for either side. Granted, I sort of understand there being protests (not that I agree with them, but someone is always protesting something, but Pro rallies still? Seems silly).

Yes, given what I know of your political views (sorry, but anarchy is not a viable option), I can see why you think these rallies are "silly". We happen to like them and we support the POTUS in all his actions.

Any more questions or comments about President Trump? Did I mention that the President has the support of the over whelming majority of active members of this forum?

Is it wrong that I'd consider going to a pro-Trump rally with the idea that it'd be fun to punch the antifa morons in the throat?

The thought isn't wrong, but the action might be. Even if you did it in self defense it would be used against you, being played on every network in an endless loop, like the last few seconds of Rodney "Piñata" King, as a "violent Trump supporter." And what is an "antifa?" Razz

I am another one who doesn't see an upside to holding these rallies. People getting hurt. Objects being thrown. Lefties using it to further their cause.

On the other hand, are we hurting Trump by not being this vocal about supporting him? I don't want to do that, either. I am not gutsy enough to attend a thing like that, but I support the people who do, wholeheartedly.

Seems that we are in between a rock and a hard place.

The lefties have a strategy to their "protests". Does our side have one? I know they try to be peaceful, but the lefties won't allow it.

How do we keep the momentum going to get ourselves a super majority in 2018?

an example of 'irrational exuberance' is the type of post-game riot seen all so often in recent decades, where even the WINNING team supporters break and throw things.

If the minions of the Soros/DNC cotillion get to express themselves, they may as well encounter those who don't agree with their notions of social organization.
