How long can this Russia bullshit go on? Months ago I thought it would peter out... there's nothing to it...totally bogus...yet like something from Night of The Living Dead it keeps getting up and walking. When will Comey issue the report he should have issued weeks if not months ago? Will it die even then?

I can imagine that two years from now... or into Trump's second term... the main story on the MSM will still be ....

Does anyone have a silver spike? A talisman of garlic?

Anytime anyone mentions "Russia", ask for the specific evidence that proves they were involved in a meaningful way, beyond what they've done for the last 50 years as far as meddling with propaganda in our politics? As far as I can see not one centilla of evidence has been proffered. Furthermore asked them what we should do? Go to war with a known nuclear power?

Credit for all of that above goes to Mr. Tucker Carlson.

This was a plan to sabotage the campaign, and if the unthinkable took place...his Presidency. Only problem is Trump 'aint playin'. Its beginning to come apart on them, but they have no where to go but to keep hammering at it. They're all in at this point with nowhere to go.

The swamp that has become the U.S. Government is far larger, much deeper and more rancid than anyone imagined.

Trump has just started to break the crust of this festering shithole. It is going to get a lot worse, a lot smellier and unfortunately (inevitably) some of the shit is going to splash on Trump.

Sucks but what's that saying? Play in the mud, expect to get dirty. Trump is wading in a pretty horrific mud hole.

this is Rice interview w Andrea Mitchell:

http://www.breitbart.com/video...e-unmasking-leaking/

a few observations, building on:

http://www.powerlineblog.com/a...trump-associates.php

Mitchell's first question: how do you respond about claims about you?

Rice: goes into a long story about the "process"
Gives a hypothetical example of an American trying to sell bomb making technolgy

M: Did you seek the names of Trump administration in order to spy on them ?

R: absolutely not. not for any political purposes

but if you want to play Clinton lawyer, she didn't say she had not requested unmasked names of Trump team. She could argue it was not for political purposes

R said there were no spreadsheets

M: Nunes said some of the reports had nothing to do w Russia

R: can't get into specific reports. classified. don't know what reports Nunes is talking about

M: was your pace of requests accelerated in the final days of Obama administration ?

R: can't be particular about the pace. it varied over her 8 years. More reports were coming in from intel because Obama had asked them to put together a report on the Russian hacking

M: would Rice be willing to testify in response to a Senate subpoena

R: long pause. “You know, Andrea, let’s see what comes. I’m not going to sit here and prejudge.”

Rice is a known liar on television. How many times now has she blatantly lied to the American people and then been proven to be completely full of it? It's ridiculous. This freakin' hack.

And just how in the world did this idiotic woman even get to a position of power to even make these requests? That right there would make a bigger story than this Russia nonsense.

So now a number of Republicans are quoted in this article-- including Miss Lindsay!-- saying that Rice needs to testify under oath. But IMO, it's a perfect example of the wishy-washy Republicans.

"Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, a member of both the Senate Judiciary and Select Committee on Intelligence, suggested in a tweet earlier Tuesday that Rice "needs to testify under oath."

She "needs" to testify??" Really? Come back when you can tell us that she has been subpoenaed and will appear under oath before the Select Committee on Intelligence on April __.

Rice, meanwhile, is "defiant." Of course she is. And maybe amused. Mad

John Kelly (DHS):

John Kelly says in written testimony submitted to a Senate panel that fewer than 12,500 people were caught crossing the border last month. That compares with more than 43,000 who were detained in February. It’s the lowest monthly figure in at least 17 years.

Kelly says the decrease is “no accident” and credits President Donald Trump’s approach to illegal immigration. The Trump administration has not yet changed how the border is patrolled, but the president’s tough talk on immigration and arrests of immigrants living in the country illegally have likely acted as deterrents.

WSJ joins the media reporting on Rice

https://www.wsj.com/articles/s...-unmasked-1491262064

Susan Rice Unmasked

A U.S. intelligence official confirms to us the bombshell news, first reported Monday by Bloomberg, that Ms. Rice requested the name of at least one Trump transition official listed in an intelligence report in the months between Election Day and Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Ms. Rice asked for and learned the identity of the Trump official, whose name hasn’t been publicly disclosed and our source declined to share.

Our source did confirm that Ms. Rice also examined dozens of other intelligence summaries that technically masked Trump official identities but were written in such a way as to make obvious who those officials were.

intel agencies wrote the reports so unmasking wasn't needed. does this mean the problem is in NSA ?

This means that the masking was essentially meaningless.

All this is highly unusual—and troubling. Unmasking does occur, but it is typically done by intelligence or law-enforcement officials engaged in antiterror or espionage investigations. Ms. Rice would have had no obvious need to unmask Trump campaign officials other than political curiosity.

We’re told by a source who has seen the unmasked documents that they included political information about the Trump transition team’s meetings and policy intentions.

We are also told that none of these documents had anything to do with Russia or the FBI investigation into ties between Russia and the Trump campaign.

While we don't know if Ms. Rice requested these dozens of reports, we are told that they were only distributed to a select group of recipients—conveniently including Ms. Rice.

Mr. Nunes had to go to the White House to verify his information because the records containing Ms. Rice’s unmasking request are held at the National Security Council.

Was this information related to President Obama’s decision in January to make it possible for raw intelligence to be widely disbursed throughout the government? Was this surveillance of Trump officials “incidental” collection gathered while listening to a foreigner, or were some Trump officials directly targeted, or “reverse targeted”?

I'm not, that's your attempt at putting words in my mouth. I'm being truthful stating if that bitch had gotten elected, and Russian ties in her cabinet existed, we'd all be up in arms over it calling for treason to add to her previous poor shot calling, and dipshit email handling.
Nothing more, nothing less.

And i'm happily waiting for her to get locked up, the hearing protection act, disbanding of the atf rules, and most important to me, H1B visas getting revoked. Send them all back to India where they belong.

Kind of tough to deny when they have the proof.

She will simply take the 5th. Those democraPs are good at that. Was it Lerner that took the 5th on everything she was asked? Not sure she even acknowledged her name.

U.S. Trade Deficit Falls as Exports Hit Two-Year High
April 4, 2017 by Reuters

ReutersBy Lucia Mutikani

WASHINGTON, April 4 (Reuters) – The U.S. trade deficit fell more than expected in February as exports increased to a two-year high and slowing domestic demand weighed on imports.

The narrowing in the trade gap comes as the Trump administration is pushing ahead with its agenda for fair trade and bringing back manufacturing jobs to the United States as it seeks to boost economic growth.

The Commerce Department said on Tuesday the trade deficit declined 9.6 percent to $43.6 billion. January’s trade shortfall was revised slightly down to $48.2 billion from $48.5 billion. The politically sensitive U.S.-China trade deficit dropped 26.6 percent to $23.0 billion in February.

The decline in the U.S.-China trade deficit comes ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit later this week. President Donald Trump has declared China the “grand champions” of currency manipulation.

“The U.S has its work cut out for it if it is going to try to alter the pattern of trade that has developed between China and U.S. companies over the last 10 to 20 years,” said Chris Rupkey, chief economist at MUFG Union Bank in New York.

“American workers might want something done on this, but U.S. companies certainly do not want to see a shift in the globalization trend.”

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast the trade gap falling to $44.8 billion in February.

When adjusted for inflation, the deficit decreased to $59.7 billion, with exports of goods the highest on record as an earlier drag from a strong dollar fades. The real trade deficit was $65.1 billion in January.

The dollar was trading marginally higher against a basket of currencies, while prices for U.S. Treasuries were lower. U.S. stocks were little changed.

Despite the decline in the real trade deficit, trade will probably be either neutral or impose a small drag on gross domestic product in the first quarter after subtracting 1.82 percentage points from fourth-quarter growth.

In addition to trade, weak consumer spending also likely constrained the economy in the first three months of the year. The Atlanta Federal Reserve is forecasting GDP rising at a 1.2 percent rate in the first quarter, a deceleration from the 2.1 percent pace logged in the October-December period.

The government is eyeing trade as a vehicle to lift annual economic growth to 4 percent and boost the manufacturing sector. Trump last Friday ordered a study into the causes of U.S. trade deficits and a clamp-down on import duty evasion.

Trump also wants to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which was signed in 1994 by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“The U.S. is an economy that is at full employment and facing challenges of low productivity growth and slowing labor force growth, which implies that growing U.S. demand will increasingly spill over into the global economy and result in a wider trade deficit over time,” said John Ryding, chief economist at RDQ Economics in New York.

RISING EXPORTS

In February, exports of goods and services increased 0.2 percent to $192.9 billion, the highest level since December 2014. Exports were lifted by gains in the shipments of automobiles and parts, which were the highest since July 2014.

Exports of industrial supplies and materials were the highest since December 2015. There was an 8.0 percent jump in exports to the European Union, with goods shipped to Germany surging 8.6 percent. Exports to the United Kingdom soared 17.3 percent and Japan also bought more goods from the United States.

However, exports to China fell 2.7 percent and Mexico saw a 7.1 percent drop in goods shipped from the United States.

Imports of goods and services fell 1.8 percent to $236.4 billion amid declines in imports of cell phones and motor vehicles. Imports had risen in recent months, in part on higher oil prices. There was a drop in crude oil imports in February.

Some of the decline in imports in February likely reflects slower consumer spending. Data on Friday showed real consumer spending decreased for a second straight month in February, the first back-to-back monthly decline since April 2009.

Still, food imports hit a record high in February and imports of capital goods were the highest in nearly two years. Imports of goods from China tumbled a record $8.6 billion to $32.8 billion in February, a 20.8 percent drop from January.

The nation also saw a decline in goods shipped from the European Union, Canada and Japan.

The trade deficit with Germany was the smallest since January 2013. The trade gap with Mexico jumped 46 percent to $5.8 billion.
