Well, it's stamped 'to anchor' and 'to mast', so 'BigSwede' is on the right track here. I don't know that much about rigging on sailboats, so that's all I got! ETA - I got a phone call in the middle of wordsmithing my post, and apparently 'P250UA5' beat me to the punch. It's a line tensioner for a TV antenna mast. You tie the line to the hole that says tie, run the line around something then back through the to mast and to anchor like the diagram. You pull it tight then twist it so the hook catches the line. That's my WAG. | |||
