Para, Could offer up a few ideas in regards to birds…. Have been getting good at carving life size birds these days. (Even won an award by now) -Would be able to carve her favorite song-bird (but may not be able to finish by Christmas, usually takes 1-2 weeks) Pictured below are a Purple Finch and a Bluebird.(all sold, just examples) -Could offer to carve her favorite bird as a relief-carving-wallhanging (which I can finish before Christmas) -Could offer one of my popular “feather-boxes” Have a box with Blue-Jay available and ready to ship. (See photo) (It is “good luck” to find a Blue Jay feather) -another popular box has been the “Great Horned Owl”-feather box. The one on the photo is sold but I can easily make a new one in time for Christmas. The boxes are about 6”wide, 4” tall, a carved acorn out of African Blackwood is the knob under each feather which is attached to the box as if it “fell” on to the box. I can make any kind of feather. Just let me know what you think. Experience before stuff unless you know what she wants. My wife loves music so I've gotten her tickets a few times a day she's been really happy. As a bonus you get points for the gift and point when you actually go to the show.

If she spends time outdoors this time of year get her a heated vest or jacket. I love mine. I wear it not only when I'm hunting or at the range, but when out hiking and exploring the local parks. After over 20 years my husband and I usually just get each other a card and maybe go out to dinner. With us practical things are the norm. Last year I got a nice wool scarf and gloves I use all the time. As mentioned before, a specialty coffee or tea she likes. __________________________

Is she always cold? I got mine a heated throw blanket one year, it was a hit. That was so good, that I got us a dual zone (hers/his) heated blanket for our bed in king size. She can turn hers to the "bake" setting and cook herself, and I can turn mine on low or off when I get hot. This year, I went further and got her a pair of heated socks. (silly, sure, but whatever) Does she have a beloved pet? https://pupsocks.com/ can put her beloved pet on a blanket, socks, tote bag ,coffee mug, etc. Did that one year too. Any other hobbies or interests? Strive to live your life so when you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the floor, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up."

I cook a lot and use the Green Pan non-stick cookware. My husband found a nice set of OXO brand silicone utensils I'd been looking for. They're much better than the nylon or plastic that I've used. https://www.bedbathandbeyond.c.../5446892?wmSkipPwa=1 Also I bought a KitchenAid blender that I use all the time for eggs, mashed potatoes and pancake mix, etc. https://www.kitchenaid.com/cou...iances/hand-blenders Wettex Swedish washcloths. I got these as a gift from my sister a few years ago. I use them to clean dishes and spills plus they're reusable. Amazon has a 10 pack for $12.75 https://wettexusa.com/ As Kevin mentioned heated socks or blanket are a wonderful idea. (mine is also set to bake ) In years past I've received a new scope for my rifle, getting my rifle stock cut down to fit with a decelerator pad, a nice custom frame for an old family photo I had in an album. Many times these gifts are bought much earlier in the year when needed or thought of and called Christmas presents. Anymore for us, the holidays are for the kids, nieces and nephews. This message has been edited. Last edited by: JYuma, __________________________

If you don't have any bird feeders you could get her a really good one. My wife loves the one she has. "Even if the world were perfect it wouldn't be." ... Yogi Berra

I would say a trip to somewhere she likes or wants to go visit with a fine dinning dinner added. And how about a bird nesting box or a nesting box kit so she can make it herself. Or..An Owl box with a WIFI camera you can put up in the yard. She can enjoy the owls raising babies and you get rodent control to boot. Not sure if it has been said yet as I didn’t read every response, but if she likes gardening, I bought an elevated planter box from gardeners.com and like it a lot. They seem to have a lot of quality stuff with great reviews.

Did anyone ever mention jewelry? I didn’t see it. I get the hint every couple of years if I don’t buy her something…. P226 9mm CT Springfield custom 1911 hardball Glock 21 Les Baer Special Tactical AR-15

Towards Christmas I always get my wife a nice piece of jewelry, she likes Southwest style, I shop online at a gallery. I added one of these at Thanksgiving, we don't entertain a lot but I got her one of the Mesquite cutting boards. She used it twice now for a Charcuterie, basically cheese and crackers. https://hatcreek.us/collection..._sid=5a947aeea&_ss=rThis message has been edited. Here’s an idea out of the blue… more like an heirloom gift if she likes to hand write notes. Once my wife receive a limited edition Mount blanc pen. (It had a pearl on the clip IIRC?) These tend to cost somewhere between 8 to 20X the normal pen. Like jewelry for the writer.
