With the push to transfer funds from LE to even more social services, you'll see manpower vut. so it's either overtime or just not respond any longer. You'll the good old days of 2000 homicides in NYC. Crime rates and homicides in general are rising. Read an article about how crime REALLY isn't risi9ng in Minneapolis, it's just that a lot more people moved in and it's spread out amongst more. Meanwhile people are falling all over themselves to send large donations towards the BLM group[. So who actually knows where it goes? The supposed head had been in more than a few controversial financial deals. Always thought it a bity odd they are led by a mostly white guy???? | |||

I have not looked at the exact statistics, but much of the violence in Chicago is and will remain gang related. It is when the violence touches middle class families or a commuter on the Stevenson Expressway that it gets attention. The statistics are available through Hey Jackass on a daily basis. the Minneapois city council has reportedly voted today to defund their police dept. Their suggestion was that people should call a trusted friend or neighbor or social worked for help. You can't make this shit up....these people are dangerously stupid. Every officer there should either walk off the job or refuse to answer calls for service. I'm glad this topic popped up today. I've been thinking about this the past two weeks. I've always thought that BLM should be concerned about the thousands of black men killed at the hands of other black men (I heard the FBI report 7400 in 2018). While only a handful of black men are killed, unlawfully, but law enforcement. I think (I could be wrong) and what I'm trying to distinguish from other LEO incidents is that this time it seems to have caught the attention of the average person to the point of them getting involved. I'm seeing a lot more normal, everyday Joes speaking out to racism. I've read (but haven't commented) my black LEO friend's social posts. His suggestion is to not downplay BLM's efforts to end policy violence (which I think is a very small minority of LEO interactions) by calling out the horrible gang violence. They are both serious problems that need addressing. Sadly, in my view, only the one of them gets attention while the other (gang violence) is overlooked. P229 | |||
