Those lost lives do not matter to Democrats and their media lapdog as they do not help their current campaign against the President and the country.

The new idiot Chief's goal was to keep homicides below 300 this year.

June 8th 2020- Hey Jackass.com totals:

Total homicides: 264
Total Shot&Killed: 238

They will probably break 300 by the end of June.

Eliminating the police will eliminate violence. Using the same logic, what is the square root of a negative one, or what is 1 divided by 0?

Need to see the numbers re: how many people got shot.

Was it 48 ? 60?

Didn't we have a thread here that stated that less than 27% of the people that get shot ,actually die ?

With the current climate, I see that number going nowhere but up.

If I was a cop now, I’d be holding back a fair bit.

I watched an interview with Dr. Thomas Sowell yesterday and he talked about how when he was growing up most Teenagers when not attending school had jobs ... and pointed out if you have young black men just standing around in the street with nothing to do ... bad things are going to happen.

if you get a chance... watch this interview... I found it very enlightening:

There were 167 people shot last week with 32 homicides. The Police killed no one btw.

The problem is that their jobs are to stand on the street corner to sell dope and keep their territory for the gang.

Yes, Minneapolis, Chicago, NYC....
There could be far fewer Democrats by election day!

Letting the animals kill each other is a self correcting solution.

I certainly understand this view when it comes to gang members killing other gang members but reading this article and others like it, there is a ton of collateral damage from those conflicts. Young children in parks, babies in strollers, a young black woman going to college to be a corrections officer, etc. I don't know those people's stories, maybe they are involved in high-risk lifestyles, or maybe their friends or families are, but some of them are doing exactly what we would want them to--rise above their circumstance--or never had a chance to because they are still children. That's a real shame, and I wish the effort we are currently seeing to combat largely imaginary enemies could be redirected to fighting these real ones.

Here's a typical CNN B/S article that implies one thing but later in the text shows a different conclusion.
By the end of the article you can see that they didn't really disband the police, just renamed and restructured it. All the claimed benefits were shown to be very questionable by the end.

Assuming the numbers are a problem, maybe they can just stop keeping statistics. Wink

"“We’ve never seen anything like it, at all,” the crime lab’s senior research director, Max Kapustin, told the newspaper. “I don’t even know how to put it into context. It’s beyond anything that we’ve ever seen before.”

Data from the lab does not pre-date 1961, but the next-highest single-day murder total in Chicago was on Aug. 4, 1991, when 13 Chicagoans died in homicides, according to the report."

I have followed the data reports on Hey Jackass for a while now. Unfortunately the most recent report doesn't show the homicide closure rate.

The closure rate shown here is ~12%. So if the probability of getting arrested is very low or even less chance you will be convicted why not just blast away. If you do go to prison it likely be Old Home week.
