I wish you well but everyone I know that had it (4 or 5) > it was everything from a little achy to mostly no-big-deal and that includes some in their sixties. Hopefully you aren't scared shitless by the government and it passes easily like most all that get it do. Like anything be cautious and follow protocol and you should be fine. Good Luck.

So it sounds like you’re over the hump, but you should still check in with someone daily, be it us, someone in the fam, etc. Take care, and feel better soon! __________________________ "Trust, but verify."

My wife and I both had it last fall. We tested positive when we gave blood earlier this month. Ours came as a mild cold. Apparently everyone is effected differently. Pray everything works out fine for you and you make a full recovery. Hope you are recovering fully. I think you did the right thing by starting Mucinex early. That's what I did and while I was congested, it did not settle in my lungs. It moved out and fever was low. Mostly the overwhelming fatigue, sore joints and muscles, distorted taste and smell and extended time to recover were my symptoms. I *think* I'm slightly better today, certainly not worse. The hospital chain is sending me a text every day with several questions inquiring about me. I really appreciate it. I had gone to one of their local urgent care places yesterday. I found my box of Emergen-C, each pack contains Vitamin C, D, and Zinc. I have wonderful neighbors. I spoke to them on the phone last night. I didn't ask, they didn't ask, they just flat out told me they would be bringing me an evening meal, as well as going to the store for me and what would i need and want. Priceless. .

You are in my prayers, OKCGene. Sorry this has happened. I'm 82 and so far have managed to avoid the virus. I'm finally scheduled for the first vaccination tomorrow--not exzctly looking forward to it, but am resolved that it's the right thing to do. I take vitamins D3 and K2 along with Zinc every day, and have been doing so for a long time. Years ago I also took vitamin C, but my doctor took me off it (not sure why). I take a lot of meds, so my doctors are continually evaluating what I'm using. I also monitor my O2 every day with a finger device, and once a week it is monitored at a medical visit. My readings at home (93-97) are usually several points lower than what is measured at the clinic. So far no one has been concerned about them, though. Your doctors seem to have your case under control. Stay with their instructions and stay hydrated. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Get well soon Gene! "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

And yesterday I had to have my oldest cat put down. I'd been talking to my Vet a lot about him the last 3 or 4 years. Mr Big was 16 years old and not doing well at all. My Vet had educated me on what to look for in his health. The Vet has 5 things he looks for when evaluating a sick or old or frail cat or dog. Mr Big had reached 4 signs of when to seriously contemplate putting him down. He had deteriorated more lately and was barely skin and bones. We made the decision early Saturday morning to help him across the Rainbow Bridge. He was incredibly handsome and very loving, always by me. He did not know a stranger, everyone who came over he would walk up to, talk to them, and make them pet him, and some he would sit on and sleep. I've never seen any cat like that. He loved people. I knew I was sick with something and couldn't take care of him and me. Then I found out I have Covid. The current state of things tipped over and this had to be done. .

Sorry to here this! (Both you and Mr. Big). I just got over COVID. I Had my first symptoms 1/27 and it pretty much kicked my ass for February. Im fine now. I’m 58 healthy and no underlying conditions. Thought I just had a cold like you...and then it got weird. Never had a fever. I think the high temp was 99 the whole time. I had the shakes a few times, light cough, but the worst part was the fatigue. Rest more than than you think is necessary. I thought I was better, went to work (desk job) and man I was just gone by 3PM..the covid “fog” for me was real and lasted weeks. The cold stuff mostly went away except at the end it came back very much like a sinus infection - but even that went away on its own. All I took was some cold medicine in the beginning as I had aches and shakes and runny nose but just run of the mill congestion. Drink lots of fluids rest and more rest. I was craving fruit and listened to that craving. Listen to your doc. Forgot to mention I lost my sense of taste and smell for maybe 4-5 days and it was significant. The taste and smell came back almost instantly on day 5 but only at roughly 40%....it slowly came back after a few weeks. Everyone seems to have different nuances/symptoms etc. I wish you a speedy recovery.
