Cult fast food chain In-N-Out Burger is getting served after it was revealed the restaurant chain donated $25,000 to the California Republican Party.

Journalist Gabe Schneider found the filing this week and posted it on Twitter:

[see tweets at link]

California Democratic Party chairman Eric Bauman called for an In-N-Out boycott:

The late CEO, Rich Snyder, was an evangelical Christian and supporter of Republican candidates, and current president Lynsi Snyder is also devout. Like cult chain Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out doesn’t make its founders’ Christian values a secret, per se. Customers just might be so focused on their Animal Style burgers that they don’t notice the references to Bible quotes printed on the wrappers.

However, it’s not clear that the company’s current leadership is nearly as aligned with the Republicans as that of Chick-fil-A, a company that has publicly come out against LGBT rights. According to campaign finance filings, In-N-Out Burger also donated $30,000 last year and $50,000 this year to Californians for Jobs and a Strong Economy, a political action committee that supports business-friendly Democratic candidates.

In-N-Out’s reputation for fantastic burgers is bolstered by its policy of paying more than minimum wage and offering competitive benefits for fast food workers. While the simple menu offers only burgers, fries and shakes, the chain’s secret menu is legendary. Founded in 1948 and still family-owned, In-N-Out only operates in six western states—Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Utah—but has Colorado in its sights.

"...like CULT chain..." Cult?

Nice reporting.

Maybe one could write, "chain with a cult-like following" but the fast food giant could not be construed as a "cult"

quite simply, this is why the left hates them. Their workers don't have to depend on the government tit.

More poor reporting and slant in the media: Chic Fil A's founder has simply stated that he believes in marriage between a man and a woman.

The media characterizes that as having "publicly come out against LGBT rights". Pun intended I'm sure.

Quite a leap to make based on one man's personal religious beliefs, but thats par for the course with the main stream media these days.

Big Grin One of the reasons I patronize Chik-Fil-A (other than the food!) is because the lefties hate them so much. It's like my own snickering way of flipping the bird to the lefties. It's too bad we don't have any In-N-Outs around here.

CFA as a company never came out against anyone's rights. It is a flat out lie to say they did. Fake news everywhere you look.

Yeah, and the same call for boycotts of Chick-Fil-A really worked wonders Roll Eyes. Typical Democrat commie business model; they continue the Obama Midas Touch, everything they touch turns to shit.

In N Out has long been known as a Christian company. They used to, and very well may still today, print Bible verses underneath the soda cups. As an ex-Californian, I grew up with In N Out and still consider them the best of the fast food places. And there is one 10 minutes from my house Smile

I'm with you there. A constant comical argument with me & my wife (a CA to TX transplant).
She's die hard InO, and since we don't have them in Houston, I'll take one when we're in Austin or Dallas. But I'll have a Whataburger over InO any day.

In N Out makes good burgers.
McDonald's also began in San Bernardino, California. But they have become a mass marketing company, not selling what we would call food. Wink

Agreed. I have a CFA a few miles from my house and go there occasionally--they have good food and excellent service. Although there is an In-N-Out burger place here, I've never been there because it's not in my normal AO. I guess I'll have to give it a try, though. (I like a very basic hamburger--well-done meat, lettuce, and yellow mustard only--and a chocolate shake is good, too.)

OTOH, there's a Whataburger just a mile away, and a Griff's 3 miles (I do like their burgers!).
