He's going to spend the rest of his life in a little room in Florence CO. So whatever his physical condition, he's genes aren't going anywhere.

That would be funny, if there wasn't a chance it could be true. Smile

Will DiBlasio (and the other libs) ever admit reality?

Serious question, and I am so very thankful this wasn’t more of a blast, but how the hell does one survive the detonation of pretty much any explosive that is more or less attached to you? I would think the pressure wave alone at that distance would do traumatic internal damage.

It was probably just an explosive device, no shrapnel.

The concussion isn't what kills unless the device is massive. This is likely why the victims didn't need to go to the hospital, but did report ringing ears and headaches.

Basically, by accident, he made a flashbang instead of a grenade.

It's likely that the perp was wounded by the explosion and the casing from the device (you can still be burned by flashbangs), because of his proximity. Little pieces of flying PVC don't go very far or hit very hard, but if you are holding on to the device or it's strapped to your abdomen, it's still going to do damage.

I suspect this is why authorities are concluding that he did not have any training so early on in the investigation. Had he packed outer casing of the device with nails or ball bearings, we might be dealing with a different result.

Well, he did say he built the bomb at work....

OT: why does everyone say "ball bearings" when they mean "bearing balls"? A ball bearing is an assemblage of races and balls, not just the balls.

Talk about an amateur device. It didn’t even detonate. If it had, they’d be picking up this jackass with garbage bags.
