I know I can't be the only one.
Myoglobin, garlic, pepper, salt, and more. A piece of bread, Italian or whatever?
Damn near as good as the hunk of meat you cooked.
Dip the bread, eat, a good beer?

No, no no... Haikus are supposed to be 5-7-5, not 23-11-7. Try this:

Board sauce, with some bread.
Nearly as good as the meat.
Dip bread. Eat. Drink beer.

Always a good sense of humor on this board! But I do know what you mean by a good board sauce. I'll make one on occasion especially for a tri tip but not everyone appreciates it. Never sopped it up with bread before but hey why not?

I've done that too but most of the time it's a piece of whatever meat I'm cooking/smoking and resting before cutting.

Yeah. I'm doing interval fasting and was already getting hungry. Lunch isn't for another hour. Then I open this thread

There should be no board sauce (or very little) as it should be turned into gravy or a full-fledged sauce as it is the source for ultimate flavor, that is agreed. Cool

I dump it in a container and dip the meat. Seems a lot less messy than that.
