Those sound like great ideas. But I've never heard him talk about them. All I hear is how he is constantly the victim of a great left-wing conspiracy. It gets old after a while.

And even if he did win (which I'm pretty confident he wouldn't), then what? We have a slimy, corrupt, whiny, RHINO as a President who would do our country and party more harm than Joe Biden has done in the last 4 years. At least with Joe we can blame it on the liberals. Christ Christie would be a disaster, and he'd be "our" disaster.

I don't much like Trump as a person, nor do I care for his ego and baggage as a candidate, but at least he's got the ability to manage the office and implement sound conservative policy. If I had my druthers, we'd have somebody else with a greater degree of personal morality and humility that could achieve the same results, but I've yet to see anyone else rise to the challenge. Vivek is interesting, but hasn't convinced me yet. I do know that Chris Christie ain't the guy, though!

Chris Christie will never poll above 6%.
He and Pence are just annoying and their only appeal is to the never-Trumpers.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The ridiculous idea that a modern politician is going to be a man of 'principle' is childish and naive...you'll end up with a RINO swamp creature. We are at war with the left for the soul of the country and never Trumpers are still hand wringing over Trumps deportment? We aren't electing a church deacon.

The real question is how is Chris Christie still around...I mean, this guy still thinks he's relevant and there's people actually pondering it. Why?

My nickname for Vivek is "Truth Bomber!" He was targeted by 3 candidates: Christy, Pence and Haley. Why would they devote their precious time on this seeming nobody? There seems to be more going on than meets the eye. I understand the persona Vivek is attempting to portray, but I'm not sure of his motives.

Is he really deluded enough to think he will eventually become the Republican nominee? Maybe its all scorched earth unknowns if Trump becomes ineligable. Maybe he just wants to call them out and rub their noses in their globalist/establishment failures. Maybe he seeks fame. He is sharp and brave as shit. Most like Trump out of all of them.

He's only there to have a platform to do his RINO duty to bad mouth DT.

The path of least resistance is hard to depart from. Still, after all that we've been through, there are people that can't let go of the play by the rules "moderate candidate.
We are at war. I want a President who will fight with absolute conviction, without mercy or remorse.
It's that or we lose, again and again.

He's a Trump surrogate. He's not debating for himself or seeking the nomination. He's working for the Trump campaign and aiming for a VP nod, no matter what he claims.

Vivek just turned 38 a couple weeks ago?!?! Wow, he’s wise well beyond his years. I would have never guessed.

I was just reading his wiki to get a basic understanding of him.

What???

You must be joking. Any member of this forum has as good a chance of being POTUS as Chris Christie. You cannot be serious. Unbelievable. Chris Christie will never be POTUS. Never, and for you to think that he could be, makes me seriously question your judgement.

Partner, you do yourself a big favor and keep your opinion of Donald Trump to yourself in this forum. This is Trump country, man, and you'd better hear me good.

Forgive me, but I have to say that based upon your comments in this thread, I find your political instincts to be shit.

Being VP is no longer the sure path to the Presidency that it once was (most of the time). I'm not convinced that's his angle.

Umm..because he IS? Confused

This has been going on for nearly seven years, 24/7. And if this is not obvious, plain as day to you, no wonder you're a Christie fan.

Typically I'm a hold my breath and pull the lever kind of voter, but Chris Christie and Mike Pence are simply outside my consideration. I'm not real keen on any of the candidates in the debate, but if either of those two get the nod I won't be casting a vote in that race.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

I have the exact same feelings as you and would include Asa Hutchinson to that list. There is no compromising left! We are either a free country or we are not and that is the choice we have to make. If we continue to abandon the ideals of freedom and personal responsibility then we are lost as a country.

Imo, Broadside has let his personal hate for Trump cloud his judgment. The fact that he refused to see what messages Trump has all this time says it all.

All those conspiracies turned out to be truth, and they are on-going. Maybe you missed that, too.

Full disclosure, I didn't watch any of the debate - I'd rather stop a bullet.

I did peep the posted vids on Vivek though, and at this early stage he'd get my vote. If he knowingly took some Soros money, I don't see anything from him that tells me he's his puppet for it. Indeed, it would be amazing if someone took that wizard impersonator's money and then used it against him.

Side note, from way out there, but from certain angles he kind of resembles Nixon. Younger and browner, but still. Doesn't bother me in the slightest, just something I noticed.
