Oh yeah, the guy is nowhere in the same league as Trump, not even close. Even though he is intelligent and personable, he is a 2nd team bench player compared to Trump. In the Club Random interview with Bill Maher, Vivek stated unequivocally that he would say NO to being Trump's VP. "I don't do well in the #2 role." Go to the 33:30 mark to view his statement. And his explanation as to why was exemplary.

I like what he has said so far. Maybe I am underestimating him, but he seems like too much of a nice guy to make it in cutthroat partisan national politics. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Vivek not only held his own in an interview with Bill Maher but he pretty much dominated their political debate. At one point you can tell Bill got frustrated with how smart and efficient Vivek is at articulating counter arguments to the lefts talking points. I agree with Vivek that the majority of Americans are not ideological and more people hold the two parties in a negative view than simply vote along party lines. The unaffiliated independents decide elections not the hard liners on both sides of the aisle. If it is truly a fight for the middle of the road independent voters as Vivek Ramaswamy claims I can’t help but think he has a better chance of winning them over than any one on the left. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Searched for it... found it: Vivek Ramaswamy | Club Random with Bill Maher "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

I am continually impressed with this guy. He's very articulate, and unafraid to engage in detailed conversation about policy off the cuff and without a teleprompter. The fact that he's willing to have a 2-hour in-depth conversation about policy with Shawn Ryan is a perfect example of this. In a political environment where all "debate" has been watered down to snarky tweets and repeating bullet-point talking points, it's refreshing. I don't agree with him on every minor detail, but do on the big picture stuff, and it's awesome to have another candidate who's not part of the political machine and who isn't cowed by it.

So far I like what he says and how he says it. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

That Colion Noir interview is excellent. "Pickin' stones and pullin' teats is a hard way to make a living. But, sure as God's got sandals, it beats fightin' dudes with treasure trails." "We've been tricked, we've been backstabbed, and we've been quite possibly, bamboozled."

Vivek Ramaswamy has done well in the debate tonight. "Some things are apparent. Yeah, and Christie got booed, which is entirely appropriate for that fucking self-serving reptile. Just a total POS douchebag. He needs to off himself. Truly, a despicable human being, and really annoying. He needs to go away permanently. Any member of this forum has as much chance of being POTUS as that fuckstick.

Because Trump has a message and principles. Christie attacks because he has nothing else. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

Yes. I agree. But could you elaborate? How do you really feel and what do you really think about that shitstick? 0:01

Ramaswamy for the most part says the right things and is a smooth talker, ...BUT ...the mainstream media isn't assaulting him, guys like Bill Maher seem to be swooning over him, wants to stop aid to Israel, he came from out of nowhere, seems to be getting money from all sorts of sources (including Paul Soros)... ...this all leaves me wondering who he really is and what he is really about. Something just doesn't smell right. It just seems off. Proverbs 28:1

He got a grad school scholarship from a foundation which was started by Paul Soros. That's a lot different than "he seems to be getting money from Paul Soros." Not going to lie, but I'd be giddy as hell if I got a $90k law school scholarship from a Soros foundation, and was able to use the education I gained to help fight against his left-wing extremism... Not to mention the fact that I just took $90k that now won't be able to be used to promote his ideals.

I must say my wife and I were not as impressed with Vivek tonight as we thought we would be. If voting based on tonight, we would have DeSantis #1, Doug Burgum #2. Surprised about Burgum. _________________________ “ What all the wise men promised has not happened, and what all the damned fools said would happen has come to pass.”— Lord Melbourne

I see Chris Christie as someone who can actually win in the general election and pull many Republican House and Senate candidates along with him. Trump is toxic. He can't shut his mouth which gives Democrats in Virginia plenty of ammunition to use against Republicans here.
