Does anyone by chance know what hotels like Hampton Inn and Best Western buy for their flip over waffle maker? They seem to work pretty well and are pretty quick - 3 min per waffle.

I was interested in buying one but not sure what brand / model they are. The only thing with consistent good reviews that don't seem like made in prc fire hazards are a $200 All-Clad (made in prc but haven't seen reports of fires or other hazards that seem ubiquitous for other makes/models).

Thanks! Definitely look like serious waffle makers. Haven't seen any of those makes/models yet. But looking at the prices, it kind of explains why, compared to you guys, I only have one nice watch and even then it was a gift. Smile

I was hemming at the $200 All-Clad.... Smile

Thanks! Nice find! Yup, that's the one. They worked pretty well, especially if I can adjust to make them a little darker. Only thing, the guy in the video past the fill line on the cup and made a mess. Smile

The batter was just so-so, so the waffle only tasted average. But the maker seemed pretty decent - quick and clean (as long as you don't overfill).

The Breville waffle makers are excellent home units but they’re more expensive than the All-Clad ones.

Honestly, I was a little surprised at the prices, too. Then again, those are certainly commercial units.

You might have a look at these guys too. They're just over the mountain from here, and I've only heard good things about them.

I get my waffle's from the toaster so I'm not much help when it comes to making them. I would probably get the $30 Chefman Rotating Belgian Waffle Maker model from Amazon if I wanted to try to make them. However I'm cheap, you may not be.
It's made in China though.

Thanks - the Krampouz looks good - I'll look into it.

Thanks. I am on a budget but I try to avoid made in prc products. Seems largely unavoidable here though. But primarily, other than making a nice Belgian waffle, I'm looking for one that seems durable and isn't a potential hazard. The Chefmans sounds iffy when I looked at some of them earlier.

I looked at a couple but some where 2x the price of the All Clad which gives me significant pause. I'd need to better understand the value of the price delta over the All Clad before considering - basically rule out the All Clad first.

I remember looking it up as I sat in an embassy suites once… they used Golden Malted brand and prices weren’t listed on their website that I recall.

Look into Golden Malted. Expensive, but bullet proof. I purchased a used one a few years ago for our Masonic Lodge and they are quite a machine!

I'm a big waffle fan & I bought a Waring Pro about 15 or 20 years ago. It gets used regularly, and is still going strong.

I finally found the golden malted maker - looks like model RT-P. But I can’t find a seller or price other than used ones on eBay for $240-350.

I wonder if they are leased or given out as part of a contract for consumables as Golden Malted supplies those as well.

I’ve got this Waring. It’s great. But no cheaper than the all clad I guess.

These go to eleven.

Holy Shit! I've got the WMK300 and I know I didn't spend that anywhere near that on ours. Of course we probably bought it 15 years ago Sam's Club. It still works great.

We have the Waring WMK600, bought in 2015 and it works great. Doesn't look like they're made anymore. The pricing on some these is ridiculous!
