What did you mean she didn’t break the kneecap but something broke into multiple pieces? Hope she gets to a comfortable point soon. They’re pretty stingy with pain meds now. If she starts eating normally you should have some stool softeners on hand. Those meds really back you up adding to the hurt.

Prayers sent. It was about two years ago exactly that my wife slipped and fell on wet gravel walking into our local hospital for a mammogram. A surgeon was walking with her so she was taken to er immediately and inhouse hospital ortho surgeon was on the job quickly with diagnosis. She fractured her tibia plateau just below the kneecap and had surgery to repair. Had to wear an erector set looking leg immobilizer for 3 months and was pretty uncomfortable until that came off. My Honda Ridgeline was the vehicle of choice, she could get in the backseat easy enough and her wheelchair went in the bed. Crutches were provided but used very little. She moved to a walker when able but it was a 6 month healing process and she still babies it. The screws in her leg are easily felt but cause no pain. Surgeon says they could be removed via surgery but wife says no thanks. ________________________ God spelled backwards is dog
