Saw one in a dive shop in Belize in 2003, got home went to my jeweler and was told "Tough noogie" not an American market watch. Had to get it from a dealer in Spain. _____________________________________________ I may be a bad person, but at least I use my turn signal.

Is that a 2254.50 ? Man I’ve been jonesing for one for a while now. My employment is tenuous and the company that bought us gave us 1 year contracts. A healthy retention bonus is inbound next summer even i I don’t get retained. If not I’ll be out of my ass. But if it does I think I’m getting one before prices go nuts

Here is my “dive” watch, definitely well worn, since it has been on my wrist every day and night since 1996 when I received it as a gift from my parents for my birthday. Water resistant to 300 ft according to the back, but I’m happy with the pool, lake or shore these days. It’s a “Pusser’s Rum” watch, the naval flags spell BN Pussers Rum. I’ve replaced the crystal, movement, band and seals in nearly 30 years of ownership, but have no intention of ever wearing another watch. I get compliments and questions on the face several times a year and I just don’t give a shit about all the features an iWatch has. I have worn it so long (don’t even bother taking it off in the shower) that I know immediately if I don’t hVe it on because light as it is, I feel lopsided without it on my left wrist. ElToro- Not sure of model number. It's not on exterior of watch but will dig out box and paperwork on my days off and look. By the way, hard to tell in pic because the way my arm is turned but it is a mid-size, not a full size. I have somewhat thin wrists and don't like very big watches.

My first good watch was a Rolex Sea Dweller I bought new in 1969 in Los Angeles. I wore it day & night for 16 years, sold it and bought a GMT. My last Rolex(s): 1987 Sea Dweller & 18k/SS Sub (not shown- my 18k Sub… way too ‘old’ and retired looking for me) My current and only good watch since 2015: ________________________________________________________ The trouble with trouble is; it always starts out as fun.

Wear this more than any others... can't believe it's been 7 years since I bought it from Dave Truong and it still looks good! ^^^^ Did you get yours on the group buy? I posted mine earlier on page 3 IIRC. It is a great watch. __________________________

It looks great for a 7 year old titanium watch. I love how light titanium is on the wrist. It really spoils you and makes it hard to go back to a stainless watch. The only downside I have noticed with titanium is that it will scratch easily compared to steel. Phoibos has a neat coating on their latest Titanium Apollo that does make it noticeably more scratch resistant than your typical titanium watch case. I made the mistake of buying a Helm Khuraburi Ti last year and it REALLY kicked off an interest in titanium watches. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

It's not a dive watch, but I'm thinking about the Seiko titanium chrono I bought 25 years or so ago (and wore every single day until about three years ago, when I discovered the Seiko Samurai). It's got a few scratches on the crystal, but the case doesn't show much wear at all. Stickman is right -- the weight difference is significant, and really gets your attention when changing back and forth. I love a really light watch, because I can almost forget it's there. And I love a heavier watch, because I KNOW it's there. Now, if I could get my hands on a titanium Samurai.... God bless America.

https://postimg.cc/SXVCp9q0 Rest in Peace, Lil Buddy! It's dead. Dead as Dillinger. I sent it out to David at MIMI's, David sent it to Citizen. They all said dead. So... The back story. Back in 1988, when I was a young, dumb Marine, I was able to get into a rather tough unit. I was able to earn my keep and eventually in 1990 get a slot in the school for that MOS. The 12 week course was probably one of the tougher schools I've been through. Pretty high attrition rate, long days, no time off, and whatever "free time" we had was spent on studying or getting your gear spun up for the next training evolution. 12 weeks of getting beat up, banged up, broken up... I got lucky and made it. One of the things that all of the Marines in the Bn did was shortly after graduation, run to the PX and get ourselves a badass Citizen Promaster Aqualand (they came in a cool plastic SCUBA tank!). I don't know how many bands and batteries it's been through, but it was my EDC for over 25 years. It's been through and been to a lot, and it just worked. Well, until they told me it was dead. However, it crapping out was an impetus to call a bunch of beat-up, broken down old farts I served with who are now scattered across the globe who are all doing rather well. I know it's just a watch, wasn't handed down from my Great Grandfather from WWI and the uncomfortable hunk of metal made it into Christopher Walken's ass (For those that get the joke). I earned that damned thing, as did all the other guys I worked with back then. I've been wearing my Marathon GSAR as my EDC for the past few years, but am always in search of another great diver. I'm on the list for a HELM KHURABURI TITANIUM. I'm also a little torn if I get another Citizen Promaster off of fleabay. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. My favorite that I own now is less interesting than my favorite that I've ever owned. The Hamilton Aqua-Date Supercompressor. I think it was 1960s, and I know it was in unbelievable condition. Oh, the watches I've sold to buy the next watch... [facepalm]

I don’t have a divers watch because I have little girl wrists so they make me look like I’m wearing Dad’s watch. I will add however that my Hamilton auto recently got a new watch band. I had never actually tried a NATO band before. I am a huge fan now. I love that Omega on a NATO band. That is fantastic.

I have a Marathon GSAR on my bench that self destructed when it lost some teeth on the mainspring barrel. I had to put in a barrel assembly, first wheel, second wheel, main bridge (lost second wheel jewel), and gaskets on top the rest of the service. There is an issue with these H4 modified movements. Every last one I have serviced have lost the second wheel pinion and barrel teeth. The exact same thing happened with my Ball with an ETA H4 movement. I put Sellita barrel bridges back in both. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.
