I do find it interesting that this theater had night vision capable cameras installed and focused on her at the exact moment this all happened.

This was a not a story until she threw a tantrum when asked to leave. I’d bet nobody had a clue who she was until she played the “Do you know who I am?” card. I’m sure folks were thinking, “Well no, but lets look it up on the internet.” It’s at this point where the security footage gets saved, she gets caught lying and has to play the “I don’t remember” card.

This isn’t Democrats vs Republicans either. Democrats get called out all the time for playing the “entitlement” card. Off the top of my head, Michigan Governor Whitmer was called out many times for flouting her own COVID mandates including her husband trying to skip the line of people getting their boat out of storage in Traverse City before Memorial Day weekend. Link Also off the top of my head, there was Michigan State House member caught with his pants down on the side of the road who told the officers he was going to call Whitmer.

If Boebert had just owned it and apologized for her entitlement behavior, this wouldn’t be an 8 page thread and she could have come out of this on a positive note.

As an example, there’s a new teacher at my son’s school. He’s finishing up 20 years with the Marines, the last 3 as a Drill Instructor, the 8th graders (my son’s class) were misbehaving and he told them to “Knock that shit off!” I know this because he sent a 3 paragraph email to the parents where he owned it and apologized for it in what was the single best apology I have ever read or heard. It’s a Christian school and swearing is a big deal for some, but all of the parents I talked to said that when they read the email’s subject “Inappropriate Language in the Classroom” they thought, “Oh shit, what did my kid say now?” The man’s apology is what I expect my own children to do and he sets the good example.

What kind of security cameras would you expect a dark theater to have? The footage doesn’t look like night vision, but rather infrared which is fairly inexpensive.

It all really doesn't matter because all of this will largely be forgotten in 12 months. This is not even a full-blown sex scandal or anything remotely serious. The information overload of today will render this insignificant in just a few weeks.

I remember on this forum when the "grab-a-pussy" tape surfaced in 2016 and members were crying that Trump was finished, completely done. It was news for a couple of weeks, then forgotten by many come election time.

Quite honestly, I wouldn't expect a dark theater to have ANY cameras trained on me while I am enjoying a show.

I imagine that any and all publicly accessible venues have multiple video cameras. It may even be that such cameras are required by insurers of these spaces.

You can thank that asshole in Aurora, Colorado and the subsequent lawsuits the victims brought against the movie theater, Cinemark, for that.

I doubt most have cameras trained on any specific patrons. I would expect the cameras to provide various views of the audience in general and the software to have the ability to zoom in digitally after the fact.
